Fine, if no matter how many 052D series have been produced or going to be produced, each unit still costs significantly more than the newly developed 054B. Then I’m definitely wrong by comparing the two.

Coz my whole point was if 052D series of ships cost similar per unit to 054B, and 052D can do everything 054B does, then would it be possible to simply produce more 052D series in place of design/developing an all new class of ship (eg. 054B)…

But as I said if 052D does indeed cost significantly more per unit at the current rate of production than 054B, then my original view is definitely wrong.

I think that’s enough of 052D talk. I apologise if the thread has slightly gone off topic. We should go back to discussing 054B now.

The last figures I saw were:

1. 052D (3.5 Billion RMB)
2. 054A (1.8 Billion RMB)

So a 052D would be twice as expensive as a 054A.

And I don't think the 054B would be that much more expensive 054A, given what we've seen
