576 from HP would make that the 18th unit and what's next to it is probably 20th of the total from HP too
Both HD and HP have each launched 10 units each and I believe from recent photos that building halls have more Type 054A under build
Add in the two Type 054 and we have 2+22 = 24 FFG to build 6 Flotillas that's a very good force sturture
However we must remember we have had many improvements of the design since 2006 as PLAN requirements have changed
Now with the latest image it looks like a 11 barrel CIWS is installed which is a very big improvement and actually a big deal this tells me that Type 054A will be doing important duties which includes carrier escort which is why they have very extensively upgraded it's attack and defence capabilitys with addition of VDS too
The missions profile for these latest FFG is certainly going to be escorting high value vessel like carriers, LHA and LPD
I hope next year they can launch the two remaining Type 054A and we see a new version coming out, a 48 cell VLS Type 054B with eletric propulsion would be great, add 24 VLS cells bow and aft
Either way the Type 054A is a really good Chinese naval success story and a very good all round frigate

Do you guys think that "older"/previous 054A would have 1130 installed as well (to replace 730) ?
Mmm, alongside 548 presumably to Dinghai-Yadangshan/6th Destr Flot would replace a 053H3.Here is another one: 577

17th 578 for 10 th DD Flot NSF
18 th 577 confirmed fot 6th DD Flot
20 th 579 for 10 th DD Flot NSF
578 and 579 would be replace also 053H3, 4 homeported to Lüshun as 4 to Dinghai-Yadangshan.
The 4 commisionned in 2015, 17th and 18th at least early 2015.

It remains to be seen where go 053H3 ! replace 053H2G or Jianghu eventually, following the next issue but really exciting

A decent output (for peace time) for the world's largest industry.
I chose to major in engineering in university after I read some books about WW2. It told me how the US turned her enomous industry into an INVINCIBLE warmachine. I was really appealed by the description about "Casablanca escort carrier finished in 113 days", "7 carriers were put into progress right after pearl habour", "10000t liberty-class cargoship went down from building slips within a week, 30 of them were sunk after D-Day to build temporary ports", "100000 tanks, 2 million trucks···", "Japanese force on Ryukyu Islands were flooded by 40 carriers and 200 cruisers",
"Flashs of welding torch all around CV-5 Yorktown was more concentrated than the starry sky above, sparks fell into Pacific like a waterfall of light. It had been almost a sieve after battle of Coral Sea, but got available for Midway only one month later. "
People like DDE, Patton, Nimitz, MacArthus were marked on history, but those hands behind the welding guns or beside the assembly lines were who really gripped the victory for the Allies.
