Well, this is a very interesting photo. I still maintain that 052D specifically makes little sense for Indonesia, but it seems we must lend credence to the idea that Indonesia may be open to the acquisition of Chinese warships, and that is what is important. We should also keep in mind that there are any number of prospective suitors and platforms that are floated in relation to Indonesian programs, and most of them do not eventuate. At this point only Arrowhead 140 seems a safe bet for Indonesia because steel has actually been cut on the first ship (of two ordered), and even in that case there are reportedly ongoing contract disputes between PT PAL and Babcock.
