Delusion. It's like the emperor's invisible clothes, someone says they clearly see something and we all nod in agreement.
It helps if you view them as data points rather than just photography. While we'd all love high-res photos, these images allow us to spot trends we'd otherwise miss. We can identify the arrival of large modules and track the overall build rate. They fill the gaps between those rare high-quality photos from airplanes, buildings, or the bridge and help us confirm the broader narrative of the ship's construction.
During the more "boring" periods, they also, to some degree, distract us PLA watching monkeys from derailing the thread into "is it 105k or 110k or 120k tons" "7 carriers by 2035, no 9 carriers by 2035" "4 PLA carriers in WESTPAC vs 5 US carriers in WESTPAC" etc
But the other gantry crane on the right is also working, another hanger deck section may also be installed.
