Exactly, I assume AVIC wants FC31 to be size of F35 but more focused on A2A rather than ground strike!

The J-31 seems to be so stealthy that it has disappeared from all radar screens even from those of the SDF. Does anyone know what is happening to the J-31 ? Any updates ? It was last seen in public at the Zhuhai Air Show last november. And then nothing.

I'd think that the low profile suggests low priority. Shenyang has its hands full. What with the J-11d, J-15, J-16, all with proven systems and definite demand, still being in various states of development, J-31 is probably back-burner 'til development on these is finished and production is in full-swing.
