How about creating a safe, sane, but not necessarily tame discussion forum for those with many posts (1500 or so)? The gated forum would allow seasoned posters to freely and intensely discuss controversial issues, without allowing trolls and flamers to ruin discussions (if you could get through thousands of posts without being perma-banned, then you're not a troll).

I am against creating a two tier system. Every member should have equal access to every topics as long as they follow the rules. What if a new member has something insightful to add to a controversial topic. Private message is the venue for untamed discussion.

There was former long-time poster who is now banned who complained about how the rules kept him from winning the argument. Everyone has to follow the same rules so how do the restrictions keep him from winning an argument? Maybe he thought of himself as a superior insulter that he needed more than the facts to win. And what got him banned? He was acting like a troll. So it doesn't matter how many posts one accumulates.

I have a problem. I cannot edit my user profile. There's no button to do so. Where is it? I can't do all the functions when I use my mod powers either. Frustrating.

Any suggestions?

I was checking out one of the threads in the Strategic Section which was closed and for good reason.

But my thing is if members post articles and essays please try to remember to include a link of your source and if possible a date or mention an approximate year when said piece was written or released.

Information and situations change very quickly and can make essays and articles irrelevant.
