At least you still have your hair Bub, I feel your pain, I am fighting my sugar at present as well---"face it, you and I are just to damn sweet for our own good"!!
I often get asked (by bald men mainly) why I have long hair, well obviously it's because I CAN grow my hair long! These days it gets annoying when anyone says how healthy and young I look, because I certainly don't feel it on the inside. Still here, still fighting, I came into this world kicking and screaming and covered in someone else's blood. I have no problem going out the same way! "Ne Te Confundant Illegitimi!" (Don't let the B*$%*^ds grind you down!)

Yes I did. The truck went only about 120 miles (193km) or so. There was a driver in the cab looking at a laptop. What i saw stated the drive took over once the truck reached whatever city was it's destination. I wonder if this driverless truck will ever be completely autonomous? If it does it will put millions of truck drivers in the US out of work unless those drivers can be re-trained to "assist' with the driving.

In case you fellows did not know popeye was a truck driver the first seven years after I retired from the USN..'91 to '98.

Really ... who did you work for? I learn't to drive heavy trucks while growing up on the family farm.Ihad a casual job working driving a truck and trailer for fertilizer spreading company.
After we left AAA my mate and I headed off to for good old USA to train as commercial pilots.
This was around 2202/3 and it was quite difficult to get clearance and the necessary permits to stay and go to pilot school in the aftermath of 9/11.
Meanwhile we teamed up and drove haulage for CalArk while basing ourselves at Little Rock.
After being warned by managment, not to let women into the truck while parked at rest stops for the night, I managed to codrive through the best part of twenty plus states before heading home.
My mate stayed on and eventually got his pilot license. Hes now now flying freight around africa as a first officer with a third tier airline.

I just drove local in San Diego. I worked for two thrift stores. Goodwill & AMVETS. No long haul.

When I was stationed in the Philippines we drove all sorts of trucks including tractor trailers with a flatbed trailers.

this is what I drove for Goodwill in San Diego doing local pick-up and delivery. Goodwill trucks in SD had a 20ft box.

this is what I drove for AMVETS in San Diego doing local pick-up and and not much delivery. This truck looks like a 14 foot box. Ours were 16' feet.

Hard work with long hours and mediocre pay.

Anyone uses Mi Band and syncs with Wechat? I have been very frustrated with the syncing issues.

My Wechat seems to sync with the Mi Band smoothly when I click "today's status" button. It shows the correct number of steps, calories burned and total distance covered. However, when I click the ranking button next to it, it shows "0" steps every single time... somehow, my total number of steps is not converted to ranking. Anyone familiar with this issue?

I will write of this more as time progresses and as I feel up to it.

But my condition has now been diagnosed as terminal. The tumors in my liver and in my right breast muscle, as well as several more in my vertebrae and in my skin have made it clear that a cure is not going to be possible.

It will all depend on how aggressive the ones in the liver and my breast are an what else comes.

I will contuse to post an enjoy your camaraderie and friendship as long as I am able...and who knows, that could range from a few months to two or three years. In the end, it is in God's Hands and I trust His judgment.

As I say...time will tell.

Stay strong Jeff! Like vesicles said medical technology is advancing at a fairly rapid rate so never say things like "cure is not possible". Some times the best cure comes not from medicine, but hope. Do things that bring you joy (like modeling) if your health allows.

@vesicles @siegecrossbow Tank you both.

I have nt given up, or lost hope.

I do hwever recognnize the seriousness of the situation.

I have been studying it, working it dear freinds who have the same disease, and working with probably the nest teams (sirgical. radio-surgery. chemo, DNA, etc.) that probably exist on the planet.

I intend to keep fighting...I also recognize God's Hand in all things and do not fear if He determines if y time has come.

I have already been the recipient of countless blessing and even miraclses in this experience. For example, they cannot to this day explain why I do not have drop foot on my left and right sides since they cut the nerve roots out that control it...and yet for the last seven years, once out of the hospital and rehab, I have been able to drive my vehicle without any hand assisted device.

So..I will continue doing those thngs I love to do as bes I can...but the condition is worsening as I go along. We will listen to our medical team and do the bes we can...but we will do so knwing all is well in the end.

Thank yu bot for your encourgament...there are indeed many bright possibilities coining in the future.
