So I'm kind of curious. What's the average age of people on this page? I don't mean to be invasive or anything btw. I just noticed that everyone here seems to be older and much more experienced than me in professional and educational fields.

dunno about average however I'm in my 40s and while I do have some military and field experience I'm far from an expert. I will say I know a few folks who are much smarter than I am in fields such as aviation, naval matters and asymmetric warfare.
I will say that I am an expert in making and grilling hamburgers!

Not sure about "older". More mature, maybe :D I am 41.

I would like to consider myself a "grill master". I do a kick-$$$ BBQ ribs and pork belly (with crispy skin). :cool::p

It took me a couple years to figure out a consistent way to get crispy skin... Let me tell ya, it's frigging hard...

I also have a 10-spice rub and an amazing BBQ sauce to go along with it.

I'm 62 and will be 63 in September. In case you did not know I served with the US Navy from August 1971 until August 1991.

I have a very good knowledge of aircraft carrier flight deck, hangar deck and weapons magazine operations.

I'm 22, and I joined back when I joined I was 14, though I only started posting regularly a couple years after. Sinodefence literally played a part in my formative years >_>

Wow, when did this site get off the ground? About 2000-2010? My memories of those years are very blurry.

This is the third incarnation of this forum. The orginal forum started in early 2005. Here's what is left of it.

On 29 August 2005 the forum was moved to the vbulletin format. And last year, I think, it moved to the format you see today.

I joined the orginal forum back in April 2005..I think..:rolleyes:
