They are running rerun on youtube. The Chinese announcer didn't say anything about range, but definitely said both DF21D and DF26 can hit ships. Deterrence is the big theme of this parade.

My apologies and thank you shen. I find the parade video on Yoku again. No range was mentioned in the broadcast.

The announcer says DF-21D is a conventional missile with anti-ship capability. It's China's lethal asymmetric weapon.

And then on DF-26 he says it's a medium to long range anti medium/large surface vessels missile with "precision strike" capability.

Unless the CCTV announcer don't know what he is talking about, I thought he says DF-21D and DF-26 both are capable of anti medium to large surface vessels with "precision strike".

Too bad I can't rewind and listen the broadcast again. I also want to to make sure he did mention the range or my own mind adding up information here. I was a little too excited as soon as I saw DF-21D... and then DF-26 markings on the missiles. Anyone else also watched the chinese version of CCTV here and remember what the announcer said?

I forgot who in the forum said they should set up a giant flat screen TV in Tiananmen square for the navy to show some of the newest ships. I thought that was a very good idea.

Another addition to the news about the parade. A Chinese online news site just mentioned in their interview of the leading general of the DF5 formation. The general said the DF-5B variant is MIRV capable, the only missile in China capable of covering all US territories.

It's quite impressive to see how secrets about the DF-5B and DF-21D get leaked so many years ago. They were leaked at least 10 years ago, only to be confirmed until today.

I must've heard the announcer says DF-26 is medium to long range missile and my thought process immediately add 3,000km to it.

Am I the only one that noticed CJ-10A had DF-10 on its containers? Since when did DF series include cruise missiles?

since the parade is well rehearsed, and the cctv announcer simply read out from pre-written script, the script could well be written by the pla, unless it's intentional dis-information, then the DF26 may indeed has anti-ship capacity.
