"If China CPC is not afraid of the west's tech from 1G to 4G, then why is the west democratic system fear China's 5G so?!"

What a measured, diplomatic, polite but firm rebuff from the Chinese deputy foreign secretary (fomer ambassador to the UK), Fu Ying to the allegation from the failed Impeachment queen, Nancy Pelosy, in the recent Munich meeting on security. Yes the very same woman that meet up with all the thugs from Hong Kong,

Why do you fear us so?

It gets better. Here's the rest of the video from Voice of America (I know)! VOA. (you can't make this up, they must think Nancy is on a good speech here in front of the world) showing Nancy's rant about everything from Uyghur to China's "repressive" system. Lol. Answer the question. Woman!

Pelosi is basically saying the US democracy is so fragile, if they allowed Huawei to compete fairly on the global market (not even adopt, just compete), then they will need to start rounding up minorities in concentration camps. LOL!

And with Hauwei providing much needed jobs and infrastructure development, that is always going to trump the US interest. And the same with the HS2 rail project!
HS2 project is going to be interesting. It is in a similar situation as Huawei . When US asked UK to ban Huawei, UK asked "What's the alternative?" America answer was for US to buy and control Nokia and Ericsson to catch up on 5G. So this time round, what is the alternative for HS2 ,would America insist again? The most obvious answer would be to offer Amtrack or would they suggest to buy German, French or Japanese fast trains companies? The point here is techonology, all those spying and stealing are bullsits.

American politicians are unrivalled in unmerited hysterics and hyperbole.

As for HS2, well that is a clever move by Beijing and a gift for the UK no matter which way they do.

Reject the offer and the UK can sell that as a ‘gift’ to the Americans - you are still our super ‘special’ buddy, just look at this amazing offer from the Chinese that we turned down because you are jelly!

Accept it and they shave many billions and decades off the project, and stick two huge fingers up at labour, who’s union supporters are eyeing the project as one giant gravy train (pun intended).

What’s most likely, and which will benefit China most, is if the UK rejects the offer initially. Then after a few years and many more billions wasted for absolute naught, China can make a new offer, with better terms (especially on the ability to use Chinese workers - I have worked with the UK construction industry, and know first hand what utter nonsense is allowed to happen. With British labour, not even China has a snowflakes chance in hell of delivering on time and within budget).

My hearing must be impaired because to me, Pelosis speech sounds slurred because shes been drinking, or maybe it's just old age.

Sorry to disagree with you, Solarz. My take on it is:

She was caught by the eloquent Fu Ying. She couldn't think of a coherent reply to Fu's question. So she search deep in her memory banks. And came up with the most irrelevant, incoherent answer ever. Ranging from China's autocracy to terrorist in Xinjing!

It's like watching that movie. A few good man. Where Jack Nicholson' s character went on a ranging irrational incoherent rant!

The problem here for her and for USA which she represent is, unlike the movie, this is the world stage! She displayed all the finess of a bull in a China shop! (Pun intended).

It's like watch a slow-motion car crash, where the whole can see how the USA behave, except for Pelosy herself! It was a good job the European guy was there, (I don't think it's on this video) as he chimed in to help her out.

It must be painful to watch even for her own advisors and supporters!

See reply to Solarz.

But it gets better. I've now find more clips at the beginning just before Fu Ying' s questions. See video.

At the beginning, she is basically telling the world Huawei and China is not a reliable partner because China's bad behaviour in trying to forced their technology to the rest of the world. And:, I quote:

"China is threatening economic retaliation if countries do not take China's 5G technology"! Lol. She said this without a hint of irony! Did her advisors advise her that the USA's never threatened all other countries if they takes up Huawei!?

She's not stupid. She must have been informed of the efforts the USA have gone through to stop China and Huawei! You just can't make it up!

They are basically no alternatives. Because both the alternatives in 5G and High Speed means your country is getting an inferior products at a higher cost leading to getting left behind in the world economic order!

No country in the right minds, and have the freedom of choice would chose the alternatives, which is why USA is, in Nancy's words "threatening economic retailation" against countries wishing to chose China.

Wow! Wofie, I like the way you put this. It's way beyond my own comprehension. It's like a game with a game.

I'm not sure China is that calculated, but whatever, the end result will be the same. I think:

The UK would want this done at the most cost efficient, and to learn how to do that, meaning it will go with Chinese tech on High Speed (HS).

China is happy to comply, so China will get the contract.

Is a win-win! Except for the third wheel here. USA is not going to be happy, and will, as Nancy said "expect economic retaliation"!
