IMHO 3M80E will be retired but the 3M80MBE will kept some more years.

SS-N-22 was the most potent anti-ship missile in the PLAN when it was first bought. But don't forget the 1st 956E arrived in 2000 and those old 3M80E are limited to 120 km. RIM-162 ESSM can tackle threats such the SS-N-22.
PLAN is moving towards newer missiles such as the Supersonic YJ-12, subsonic YJ-62 and the mixed-stage YJ-18.
PLAN still lacks a stealthy subsonic passive guided missiles similar to the Kongsberg NSM, AGM-158/158C.

why do you think PLAN still lack of passive guided missile? do you think due to lack of technology or something else?
Exact but sure one variant of SS-N-22 for each variant of DDG 956 modifications required for launcher ?

AGM-158 is very good you mean AGM-158C new AShM variant ofc, stealth warhead more big than YJ-12/18 but supersonic speed increase the power, damages so for AShM China have or soon good missiles don' t need for power similar to AGM-158C for it, for range yes inferior if about 300 km in a medium trajectory can be considered bad ...
But for A2G attack China don' t have AGM-158A or mainly B long range clearly better than Chinese KD-88 etc... more accurate, range and USAF have now in big qty.
I precise I talk for LR LACM not CJ-10, Tomahawk, Kaliber etc... very long range LACM.

This is more of a strip-down not removal for overhaul. With all those analog suites replaced with up-to-date ones, I wonder how much net tonnage this released.

I believe the HHQ-10 on 136 is of 24 tubes. The gear is almost the same as on 052D
