The Letters and numbers in the parade.

TJ = armour (Tie Jia 铁甲)
FK = air defence (fang kong 防空)
WJ = armed police (wu jing 武警)
HF = behind front line (hou fan 后方) This is my speculation, wait for Sept 3rd for confirmation.
XY = I got problem with this, I think it means little eagle aka UAV - Xiao Ying 小鹰.

The first numeric is model (example type 99G), 2nd and 3rd numeric is the number of that vehicle of this particular model participating in the parade. Thus TJ112 is Type 99G, vehicle number 12th.

Lieutenant General
At the same time as technology progresses a lot of deterrence relies on things most civilians can't "watch", such as whatever goes on in space and cyberspace. And as it has always been, the best deterrence is all-around competence in economics, politics, science, philosophy, as well as the military.

I agreed, don't forget intelligence gathering as well.

Can't speak for the rest of the acronyms, but TJ stands for 突击. The first digit after TJ stands for the formation - so formation 1 in the case of the 99As, and the second and third digit denotes vehicle number of that particular formation. So TJ101 stands for Assault (突击), Formation 1 (第一方队), Vehicle 1(一号车). Here's the lead vehicle driver talking about it;

Around 2:50, the tank driver says that previously, driving a tank requires strength. Now, it requires intelligence. Can anyone explain what he means by that?

I think the driver was probably just emphasizing the advancement of Type-99 like a figure of speech from mechanicalize to digitize of the tanks.

I think he is been more literal. Driving old style tank like Type 59, with two driving levels, required quite a bit of strength to pull those levels. Modern tanks with automatic transmission and driven with a yoke or wheel is more like driving a car.

Yes, the first numeric is indeed number of formation, thanks for correction.
