So it depends on the strings attached?

If any. The US is eager enough about containing China that it essentially gave India a free pass on its existing and future nuclear weapons program.

If the US is willing to do something like that which actually poses significant risk to itself, it certainly would be willing to sell AH-1Z's to Pakistan with no strings attached which not only poses minimal risk to the US, but is also a business opportunity for the US defense industry, and is an opportunity to put a dampener on China's defense industry and foreign policy.

Interesting video ...

I could puke among the majority of american commentators under such videos. "COPYCOPYCOPY", just because majority of those kiddos copy their homework from such pathetic sources like wikishmedia, does not mean they are educated to even care to know anything about technology.

The music is from the movie Crimson Tide (1995).

Whatever it works, it's just a recruiting video for the Army aviation from CCTV. I don't expect them to write their own music for it. It's not like they are using another country's national anthem for the background music. :p

These images were posted by Hongjian yesterday and they are showing some sort of new gun (some say of 25mm caliber) or IMO at least a new modification to the gun blast deflector ...

Also interesting, that this is prototype 006 and this one already had the revised fuselage of the serial aircrafts.

The barrel diameter seems to be the same it still looks like AM-23-1 cannon, i doubt they would introduce 25mm when they already have 23mm with good ammunition for air to ground jobs.

President Mamnoon Hussain told Sputnik that Pakistan aims at importing Russian-made Mi-35 helicopter gunships.

Could thin out the competition for AH-1Z or Z-10.

Hard to tell. This could be a overhaul then again it could be just a few tweaks. One thing for sure is what ever they did they deemed a Change to the Muzzle break a must. and the Turret housing has stream lined well the gun is open to the air.

as to Mil35 the question I have would be which version? presumably with the latest Russian Avionics Fine but a Mil35M series based on the Hind D with the 12.7mm Gatling gun or the Mil35P packing the fixed 30mm cannon.
If the M series then It would be well suited for Asymmetric conflicts with lots of fire power against insurgents and militants if the P then it's a tank hunter and better to leave the grunts to the Huey's, Hips and Pumas.
But that's neither here nor there.
