98kn on the RD-93, max take-off weight of 17.5k, 20/17.5 or 1.125 loaded, 388 wing loading at 45m^2

compare 1.06 fully loaded on F-22 TWR, 375 wing loading at 78 m^2.

So yeah, the kinematics will resemble the F-22, even though it probably will have inferior stealth characteristics (side stealth, rear stealth) and an inferior radar (probably a 1200 unit GaN AESA, like the F-35 instead of the 2200 GaN AESA of the F-22).

According to a dodgy site, the horsepower is at the region of 60.000 to 120.000HP :) Anyway, I don't trust that site and I don't think it is right.

Said Chinese engine would have to be modern and reliable , with comparable specs to foreign (Russian) engines . Other option would be firm and concrete contract with Russia about engine purchase . But none of this will work if China doesn't purchase J-31 . SAC cannot fund development of the fifth generation fighter on their own , and potential foreign buyers don't have money or will to foot the bill for something that PLAAF won't buy .
