I find those comments humorous. Too bad for the South Koreans though. Not surprised the nationalists find it beneath them to receive aid from "welfare states."

They all seemed so one-sided and strange, particularly seems like their dislikes are towards the SK too.

I just dunno why they'll start arguing in the middle of these difficult times.

It's one of those damned if you do, damned if you don't situations. If China didn't offer aid, they'll use that against China too. The Chinese can take all that empty bravado because realistically they can only spit out impotent venom.

I'm watching CNN now and they just mentioned China has sent a 15 member rescue team that will arrive in Japan in two hours. I guess the secret invasion of Japan has begun.

If you read Chinese or Japanese, you now know how these people are, draw your own conclusions.

...
(uno! dos!) tres,

What is that? From the comment section of some non-professional site? I never been there so someone fill me in.

Again, if those are just comments from users replying to a news article or blog it is best to ignore them as we know there are many youtube or yahoo comment makers along with the 'evil chinese netizen' counterparts that make some of the crudest ignorant remarks online just because... its the internet.

"<丶`?′>(′?ω?`)(`ハ′ )" is a one-man rant with too much time. Best advise. IGNORE.

Well on Taiwanese TV they've said if this quake had occured in Tokyo the city would have been levelled........Don't know how much of that is true but I'm sure this greatly increased the anxiety of those living in Tokyo. As for the physical stress caused on the plates underneath Japan, I haven't heard anything about that.
That reporter has no brain. Buildings in Japan are probably built with the best quality in the world, maybe only next to the Germans. Everything in Japan is built with earthquakes in mind. Plus, if you really look at the reports, you'll notice majority of the deaths are result of the tsunami, not directly from the earthquake.

I just received news from a friend in Japan that they're now under "curfew" for power usage. Something is probably lost in the translation -- might have been better translated as rolling blackouts or power rationing. Power, internet, and phone service may be intermittent as the result.

She is lucky to be away from the Sendai area. Right now there are millions of people in Japan scrambling for food, water, and fuel. People line up for 2 hours at the supermarket, and even longer at gas stations. The situation is very stressful and the people should be commended for remaining calm and orderly.

Unfortunately in scenarios like this, emergency response teams are completely overwhelmed and may take days or even weeks to provide aid. I'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that you should stock emergency food and water at your residence. If everyone were better prepared, emergency services can be freed up to provide critical aid for those who need it most.
