I'm not sure if these was posted before. EW pods for the JH-7A. Does not look like a specialized variant, but something that can be installed in any JH-7 or JH-7A. Plane depicted here is actually a JH-7.

I bet the 23mm gun will not take up much space in a JH-7A. Even JH-7A convert into special EW plane, the gun may still be retain.

a lot of interesting photos that I saw on CDF for JH-7. The first one looks like a JH-7A with 2 different types of YJ-91?

The second one is an old JH-7 with YJ-83K

And the third one is an EW JH-7 with the pods looking different.

Anybody has any idea on how much extra weight the JH7A can carry in the sky? I mean suppose the maximum take off weight is 30 tons, the empty weight is 21.5 tons. Then there're 8.5 tons for extra payload. If the JH7A carries 7 tons of weapon to take off, then there are only 1.5 tons left for fuel. So after taking off, the plane can refuel from the tanker. So my question is, how much fuel it can take? The maximum flying weight should be significantly larger than the maximum take off weight. Say, is it possible for JH7A to carry 5 tons of fuel and 7 tons of weapon?
