The new version will have greater range, higher radiation output and better electronics.

Pakistan's newly disclosed MIRV capability has put Pakistan in few countries who are developing ABM or Anti ballistic missile defense systems.

Foreign intelligency organizations said in 2010 that Pakistan is working on MIRV but as usual our neighbours rejected the reports saying Pakistan cannot develop such complicated Technology.

Seven years later in January 2017 Pakistan publicly test fired their MIRV capable missile Ababeel (2200 km range) which left India in shock and awe.

The Ra'ad-II, an improved version of the Ra'ad ALCM, was revealed during the Pakistan Day Parade on March 23' 2017 and has a range of 550 km. General Danilo Errico, Italian Chief of Army Staff met Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ today.

Matters of mutual interest were discussed with particular reference to enhanced military cooperation in the field of training and counter terrorism domain. Later, the delegation was given detailed briefing on operational and training activities of Pakistan Army. The visiting dignitary acknowledged and appreciated ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad for elimination of terrorism from Pakistan and gains made so far.

Earlier, on arrival at GHQ, the Italian Chief of Army Staff laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.

Pakistan may buy 100 ukrainian tank "Oplot"

Pakistan's ambassador Atar Abbas said that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan may purchase 100 ukrainian "Oplot" tanks.

"Today experts are holding testing and evaluation, there is an agreement on the purchase of the Ukrainian battle tank"Oplot". And in case of its signing Pakistan will purchase them at Kharkov plant more than a hundred units of this technique," - said ambassador.

According to him, the defense sector was one of the main areas of cooperation between Pakistan and Ukraine.
"This concerned procurement of heavy equipment and its maintenance in particular" the ambassador said.

According to him, mutual visits of the defense ministers of Pakistan and Ukraine were held recently.

"A few months ago an agreement was signed on the joint production of engines for the Al-Khalid tanks and military helicopters, all production will be carried out on Pakistani territory," he stressed.
