Now if Amazon can be called innovative because of drone deliver plans although it did not invent drones nor were they the first that thought up the idea of delivering with drones, this has to be an example of Chinese innovation.

proud to say that i have never taken a selfie in my life. but this still seems like an interesting design to me, wonder why they don't plan on selling them in the US, it seems that there are a lot more kids taking selfies here than in CHina

The problem with this is all it takes is for phone makers to start including a flash on the front side of the phone and this product will become obsolete.

It was mentioned that this is not really a flash but a light that stays on with its own power in order to for people taking selfies can see themselves illuminated before snapping the picture. That's probably a power drain if using the phone's battery.

They basically borrow the idea of macro ring flash. which is itself derived from from surgical light. an invention that make it easier to take more selfies is surely a crime against humanity.

My two-year-old son is starting to take pictures of himself.

Truly, there is no more hope for humanity...
you gotta do something about that, get him to join the army, erase his sense of "self". honestly girls taking selfie is okay but guys doing it is kinda disgusting

is gimbal-mounted. This not only allows users to remotely pan and tilt, but it also automatically keeps the camera level as the quadcopter itself tips back and forth. Now, DJI is planning on offering a handheld mount, which the Inspire 1's camera – gimbal and all – can be mounted on after being removed from the drone.

Showcased recently at CES, the Inspire 1 Handheld Camera Mount is intended to let Inspire 1 owners use a single camera both for aerial shots, and while shooting by hand on the ground.

The device has physical buttons for controlling parameters such as shutter speed and shooting mode, with an app on the user's paired smartphone (which is held in an included brace) providing a real-time viewfinder and additional camera controls. And needless to say, as the user trudges around, the gimbal keeps the camera steady and level.

No other specs have been provided, as the device is still in development. DJI plans on releasing it later this year, at a price that has yet to be announced.

I think it is a game changer by making the gyro-stabilizer more compact. DJI is also slowly converging on Go-Pro's market of action video camera.
