It is easy to ask some one to learn a language and another do it your self, I am not a native Speaker of English but i know learning a language has a curve.

For example if a person learns a language before age 5, will be able to speak it as native or very close to it, but if you learn it after that age you will have an accent plus some semantic problems thus that person will speak the language not very well.

Another factor is how close is the second language to your native language.

For example I am a native speaker of Spanish, i can understand pretty well Portuguese which is basically old Spanish with some changes.

Italian is a little bit harder, French is next in line, but Russian, is very hard for me, despite originally Russian and Spanish share a common root but the time they branched off was earlier, Russian and Spanish share a common root of perhaps 2800 years ago, but Spanish and Portuguese branched off less than 700 years ago.

Chinese for me is pretty hard, same is Japanese since they are not indoeuropean languages but came from Altaic and Turkic origins.

Also if you are in your late 30s it is very hard to learn a foreign language, for example if Forbin learned the language after his late 30s, he will have troubles to speak it properly.

In few words you can say to him man up, he can tell you learn french and man up, so you can not be intolerant i tell you because my step mother learned Spanish quiet old, around the age of 55, her Spanish is not great and full of mistakes, but her nephew Speaks fluent and good Spanish, why well he learned Spanish when he was teenager.

depends in the language, for example Spanish to English is pretty good around 90% or more accuracy, but is not perfect.

But Japanese to English is awful and I know it for experience.

I do not know, I know Spanish and Portuguese can get around 90% accuracy, but still the translator is not perfect, the French language must be the same or slightly less accurate, the Spanish is very accurate because there are many Spanish speakers and websites in Spanish, thus the program has been refined and honed, but i do not know about French, but i guess Chinese should be pretty bad, i would not try to speak Chinese via google translate, I know it first hand because I have done Spanish to Japanese translations and the translator was awful, but you have to have a human translator to fix it

Your English is 90% correct and everyone can understand it. No problem

Other members whose English is around your level include Deino (95% correct), Henrik (90%), Jura (85%), J-16B MRF (95%), and Yvrch (90%). These are all users whose English are slightly glitchy but, as a whole, are perfectly understandable.

Google Translate's English is ~80% correct and reading it requires concentration but it's OK for the most part. For example, whenever I read Henri Kehnman's posts, I just Google Translate the whole page from French to English and I'm able to understand everything easily.

Forbin's "English" is ~50% correct and trying to decipher it makes my head explode.

Forbin's English is not easily understandable. Oftentimes, it's not understandable at all. And I would highly appreciate it if he just typed what he wants to say in French and then used Google Translate and pasted whatever Google Translate came up with into SDF. That way, he can increase his effective English level from the current ~50% up to Google's 80% with little effort.

I'm not expecting him to magically start speaking English as fluently as a native speaker. I just want him to spend the bare minimum of effort as an act of courtesy to the rest of the forum and use Google Translate.
