Is a J10D even possible? In my opinion certainly yes, if a designation was ever in question it should have been J10B to J10C since it's minimal changes

There was a pause in 2015 in between J10B and C so we could be in that pause period right now in between J10C and D

Only CFT would warrant a new designation as a few J-10Cs already fly with WS-10Bs and they're still called J-10C. However, there has been very little information on CFT development by the PLAAF; a few video screenshots here and there, and that's it. So, it's doubtful that the next J-10 iteration will incorporate a technology that we've been hearing little about. If it does, consider me very surprised.

Then J10C started in 2015 and here we have 60 units in 2017

410 : 300 A/S + 50 B + 60 C

Henri K had say 32 C built in 2016 number have dercreased 48 in 2014, 40 in 2015

The calcul is simple
AF : 13 Rgts x about 30 in fact 28 i rounded to 30 to have birds in reserve, tests etc so about 400
Navy 1 Rgt x 1 : 30

And now completely possible 450 : 300 A/S + 50 B + up to 100C

At least 60 J-10Cs and probably a similar number of J-10Bs. Well over 150 4.5 gen fighters in service within PLAAF and 20 5th gen fighters in the form of J-20. According to Zhongnanhaibaobiao (famous wallclimber), four J-10Cs in service use the WS-10 engines.
