To boil all of it down Jura, bearing in mind the reconciliation of Turkey and Russia, the intention to establish normal relations with Damascus and the (unconfirmed) news via Delft about the arrest of the pilots that shot down the Russian SU24, the question is this.

Is Turkey associating all off the rebel factions it has previously supported with the coup plotters, in order to be able to unceremoniously dump the whole mess and be able to walk away and wash its hands, without egg on its face?

There is uncertainly a high degree of realignment now taking place in Turkey. The comments about Ghulen, the role of Officers and Aircraft based at Ircirlik Airbase, the words yesterday of the Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag
" Criticism of the Governments crackdown on those arrested is tantamount to supporting the attempt to overthrow it"
All suggest that Turkey is pointing the finger of blame westwards.
It is a matter of just how far and deep this realignment is going to go!

I am posting this albeit with a "health warning".
The producers of this video clearly have a mission, but there is meat in their story about deliberate US misinformation during the Turkish Coup attempt and it hones down on the facts very succinctly. So for that and that alone, its worth posting and watching.

In Syria, the worst blunder of the anti-coalition EI (means anti-ISIL)
This is the biggest blunder ever committed by the international coalition against the Islamic State organization (EI) since it came into action in the skies of Syria in September 2014. Dozens of nearby villagers of Manbij, a city of 50 000 held by the jihadist organization, 100 km northeast of Aleppo, were killed in air raids in the night from 18 to 19 July. The coalition led by the US, which includes ten other members, including France and the UK, led since late May a major offensive in partnership with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDS), a Kurdish majority, to dislodge the EI this strategic crossroads.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH), which relies on a network of informants and doctors in the field, shelling killed 56 civilians dead, including 11 children, in the village of Toukhar, ten kilometers north of Manbij. Pictures of dismembered bodies, covered in dust, being deposited in a mass grave circulated on social networks. The communication agency of EI jihadists Aamaq evokes for its part 160 dead. According to Hassan Al-Nifi, member of the revolutionary council of this town, who lives in exile in the Turkish city of Gaziantep but has contacts there, the toll could be even higher.

"When members of the civil defense intervened Tuesday morning, they recovered 85 bodies from the rubble, mostly women and children, said the city official, reached by telephone. But when they were able to bring their clearing equipment, many other bodies appeared. We are more than 200 dead and counting is completed. "Monday morning already, at least 21 civilians were killed in other air raids on the suburbs of Manbij.

The coalition has acknowledged having conducted 18 strikes in the area on July 18 to all, she said, the positions and vehicles EI. "We will examine all the information available about the incident," said the military, which no verdict yet on possible firing errors. "We take all the provisions for our missions to avoid or minimize civilian casualties (...) and we adhere to the principles of the law of war," said the statement, sent in response to an email from AFP.

The carnage Toukhar sparked an outcry within the Syrian opposition. The indignation is fueled by the traditional mistrust vis-à-vis members of the Democratic Union Party fighters (PYD), the Kurdish component of FDS, which they accuse of separatist activities. In a letter sent to Ban Ki-moon, the UN secretary general, Riyad Hijab, the president of the High Council for negotiations (HCN), the diplomatic arm anti-Assad criticizes the "international silence" surrounding these "hundreds of deaths."

Syria war: Dozens killed in 'US-led strikes' on Manbij
Coalition strikes on northern Manbij kill 56 civilians, bringing death toll to 167 in past two months, monitor says.
Dozens of civilians have been killed in US-led air strikes against areas in Syria held by the Islamic State of Syria and the Levant group (ISIL, also known as ISIS), a monitoring group said.

At least 56 civilians, including 11 children, were killed in air strikes on the Tokhar area in the northern city of Manbij in the Aleppo governate on Tuesday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Ten others, including four children, were killed in coalition strikes on the village of Hamira, in the southern suburbs of Manbij.

The UK-based Observatory has put the total number of civilians killed by coalition strikes on Manbij since the Democratic Forces of Syria (DFS) launched their campaign there at the end of May, at 167.

Among the dead were about 44 children, 17 women and eight prisoners, the Observatory said.

"The US central command has confirmed to Al Jazeera that it was conducting air strikes in the area and says it needs to investigate allegations of whether civilians were injured or killed in this incident," Al Jazeera's Rosiland Jordan, reporting from Washington, said.

Director of the Observatory Rami Abdel-Rahman told German news agency DPA: "We believe that the raids which were carried out Tuesday were by US [or] allied planes, but it was by mistake."

Residents in the area say the death toll could be upwards of 200.

"It seems that the Syrian Democratic Forces under the leadership of the International coalition which is in charge of planning have decided to adopt a scorched earth policy," Hasan al-Nifi, a community leader in Manbij, told Al Jazeera.

"Manbij is full of residents, a quarter of a million residents, used by ISIL as human shields. Yesterday the coalition struck al-Zahuna neighbourhood, where more than 23 people were killed. Then it struck the western gate of the city, killing people.

"Today the residents of Tokhar woke to a horrific massacre. The death toll rose to 212 and the numbers are rising."

The Manbij area has seen intense US-led air strikes in support of Kurdish-led forces who are trying to seize the city from ISIL, so as to block the armed group's access to the nearby Turkish border.

The SDF, an alliance of Arab and Kurdish fighters backed by the US, launched

against ISIL to retake the city of Manbij late last month.

They have besieged the town and are

to the city centre under the cover of air strikes by the US-led international coalition.

ISIL has held the city since 2014, the year that the armed group seized control of large parts of Syria and neighbouring Iraq and declared its "caliphate".

In addition this is the link to the video of the murder itself, very graphic and not for the feint hearted, but; just like the Leslie Ann Down tape recording, in the public interest for people to see what sort of animals there tax's are supporting.

it's Military Forum here so I'll say it: I think non-ISIL anti-Government fighters do it (beheading) when they await the final battle, to show they're ready for anything and everything; I noticed

This is perhaps the most heart-wrenching reminder of how horrifying war can be.
