Very nice. Nothing quite like manikins to test the mettle. The blasted off limb is definitely more military specific though, and this doesn't seem like any odd medical/hospital manikin.

I wonder where it was displayed and why there were English labels

Some high-resolution PAP winter training photos. I like the winter brownish camouflage pattern.

Don't know the authenticity of this information, but I'm sharing it here nonetheless, as it might square with some of the recent photos posted on this thread.

According to the first photo, China opened a competitive bid for a new ballistic helmet on August 4, 2017. A minimum of 350,000 units are to be procured. I'm unsure which branch – Army or PAP – these helmets are destined for. Some salient requirements are:
    1) The overall exterior design is to be similar to PAP's Type-15 helmet.
    2) No external protrusions or openings.
    3) Shrapnel Protection: (V50) ≥630m/s
    Ballistic Deformation limit: ≤25mm
Max Weight (large-size helmet with external accessories): ≤1400g
Max Weight (large-size helmet alone): ≤1100g
Protection Area (large-size helmet): ≥1251 square centimeters
Unit Price (with internal anti-concussion cushion and external mount for camouflage): ≤1298 yuan; Unit Price (helmet body alone): ≤1090 yuan
Service Life: >5 years, Service Life (ideal target?): ≥8 years
    4) Various other requirements on are specified in GB standardization documents.
    5) Bidder must have a production capacity greater than 50,000 units annually.

The second photo shows the results of the competitive bid, released on November 19, 2018. I'm not sure if only the first place is chosen, or if more bidders are approved. I'm also unsure if the bidding process is made up of multiple stages, and if the ranking is for the current stage, or if it's final. Anyway, 1st place is a company out of Shanghai, 2nd place a company out of Beijing, and 3rd out of Chengdu.

    Those are the standard requirements.
Based on the second post, it's a bid by the Army/Ground Force.
