In the just published "Decisions of the 4th conference of the 19th CPC central committee",

The bold texts is saying "the (PRC) Constitution and Basic law of HK and Macau must be strictly followed... Fully establish the legal system and procedure for national security (23rd of Basic law)". It seems that after the mess, the central government is going to push (forcefully if necessary) through 23rd. It is easy to understand, it can not trigger something worse than it is already. Besides, unlike "anti extradition bill is not illegal by itself", against 23rd itself can be a interpreted as treason which give a good reason for central government to intervene. Well done "protesters".:D

I just love this. The rioters and "journalists" believed anyone who got arrested will "disappear" (as if, its pure propaganda). Anyway, as such routinly, whenever someone get arrested, they shout out their name and HK ID number.

So when this one got arrested, and didn't shout out his name, the so-called journalists shouted out what's your name?

Cockroach (a derogatory name for rioters), came the reply by the policeman! Unprofessional, I know, but true, and it showed the police force is on the edge! and I think its understandable.

I know we discussed this earlier, but it still doesn't make it any easier to stomach!

What has this three year old girl ever done to deserve to have such irrrsponsible parents such as these!

I know I said it before, but I will say it again. In any country, the kids would be taken away and put into care!

And I'm saying that human rights don't exist in practice and therefore, that "right" is nullified. You can only even try to claim the right to contest elections if you have a clean criminal record in most places; if you are a felon or have some other history of multiple arrests and serious crimes, your "human right" to contest elections will be taken away from you by society. Therefore, I'm saying in practice, don't rely on the illusion of having "rights"; rely on goodwill with your society ie. not having a criminal record. It think that's clear what my post means.

Our friend is so typical of the people in the west. Always quick annd point a finger at China on "human rights". At the same time, their own system restrict their people's own human rights!

I mean, criminalty is only one of the ways the west trample on people's human rights. They are others, like the refusal to swear allegiances. Or being "certify insane". Or have no fixed abode, or just don't have the money to pay the deposit required to stand as an MP!

Yet, all this to them is fine when it applies to their own citizens, but when it is applied to Hong Kong. HUMAN RIGHTS gets wheeled out!

Still, can't really blame our friend here, if all he got to go by is his own MSM!

)

It does not matter, the point is it had elicit a response from the rioters!

Really, I had noticed you tend to worry about details on most issues, and you get bogged down in this, so you can't see the woods from the trees!
