my friend the OICW or SABR is a American project, Built in germany. the project is a joint between alliance Tech systems and HK.

If thats a laser why does it have a magazine instead of Batteries?
look again the guys left hand is on a magazine.

the rifle part of the oicw is a derivitive of the G 36 but the grenade launcher is developed by american aliance tech but the XM 29 was cancled any way its been seperated into the XM 8 rifle and XM 25 grenade launcher its also 25 rather then 20 m.m.

So much for grenades and going into OICWs, eh?

    It's OK, MadMaxis already going along.(Right?) :D

Well, you can't tell much from the photo.

All you can make out is a laser pod(?) and a rifle barrel. There is a second tube below the barrel, but what is that? It is not impossible that the magazine is actually a battery.

I am guessing that the magazine holds grenades shot from the 2nd tube, given that the soldier's hand is covering a 2nd magazine. So this might be a Chinese OICW.

HUm Hum the gun is a recycled g36k. Besides It was part of a german bid for the FELIN and Spectre combat suits (France and UK) that lost for political reasons. Then the concept was offered to DOD with the promise it will be "homegrown".

You can clearly see that it has 2 clips, I circled then in the modified photo I posted. I am not sure this thing really has a grenade launcher, and if it does I don’t think that it’s over 20mm. It could very well be a combo weapon firing 5.8mm X 42mm and 12.5mm X 108mm ammo. The size of the clips and the diameter of the barrel may point to this option.

i doubt it could be a 12.7mm round a barrel that short would cause some seroius recoil
you might brake youre collar bone firing that!
