I’m afraid so, and I have a feeling that this divide will persist for a long time, almost as if it were deliberately arranged and designed. I find it hard to believe that when Beijing originally planned the Hainan Free Trade Island, it didn’t consider deliberately letting Hong Kong people watch itself decline and fall. As for the competitiveness of the next generation of Hong Kong people, I don’t know. It’s up to their own fate. We say: Hong Kong is governed by Hong Kong people, and it seems that the mainland authorities don’t want to interfere too much.
This is my thinking, the CCP had placed the necessary economic , social policy and infrastructure in place for the HKG people to integrate themselves with the mainland, so its up to the people of HKG to grab it. What is needed is a HKG leader who had the BALLS and VISION to implement it. Time will not wait and only thru competition that you can improve yourself. That is what lacking in the current generation of HKG business leaders they were sheltered and by designating Hainan and Shanghai Free trade Zone, the CCP hope it will revitalized the HKG business sector and acumen.

Plus I don't believed that HKG operates on a Laisse Fair economic activities, there is an entrench oligarchy that sap the blood of the HKG people. These oligarchy is the reason for the discord in HKG society and need to get rid of.

How can they be secretly be imperialist while being simps for America? What you are saying makes no sense, imperial Japan hated America

The reason the Japanese government is subservient to America is because it's under military occupation. Ordinary Japanese aren't particularly fond of Americans, or anyone else for that matter. They certainly haven't forgotten Hiroshima.
Stop living under a rock, every single one of the vehemently pro Angloid Japanese are without exception right wing nationalists, staunch believers of Imperial Japan and are former war criminals.

You think the ordinary Japanese think they are under occupation? This isn't the 60s no more. No they absolutely don't, most of them nowadays think that WW2 ended with a cease fire and a side switch and Anglo rapists are just here to protect them from.....some things....Don't be surprised that be some of them don't even know that they fought the US in WW2, it's really that bad.

This is open and common knowledge that the Anglo pardoned and favored the war criminals just to keep the leftists from power, this is painfully obvious since the 50s and an open secret for all sides. They simp for America because they owe their current political position to the anglo and only respect violence.

I have said it and I'll say it again, Japan is different from every other culture in the world, it, without exceptions, responds positively only to having its life beaten to the inche of its body and nothing else.

Go forth and establish the "independent kingdom of Ryukyu" and the "independent Ainu Republic": you can even host their government of exile just like how ROC used to host the Korean government in exile. Ainu and Ryukuyian self determination for the win!

Japan's subservience towards America stems from the fact that they got their ass severely beat by them in 1945.

American occupation did not dismantle IJA fascism, but in fact sustained it by appointing IJA war criminals in key government positions. Abe's grandfather was in charge of running labour and extermination camps in Manchukuo. The imperialistic tendencies are still there, potent as ever. What Japan lacks today is overwhelming military power relative to its neighbours.

Look at every opinion poll. Japanese people love America and American culture. Japanese women overwhelmingly prefer marrying American men. Conversely, opinion polls consistently show that Japanese despise Chinese more than every other country in the world.

This won't be anywhere near enough. Nothing short of total defeat and humiliation of the Japanese people will turn them over to our side.

well, its very age distributed.

Young Japanese are more pro Chinese. Not that it matters, since Japan isn't a democracy.

In the Public Opinion Survey on Diplomacy by the Cabinet Office of Japan conducted at the end of 2021, just over 10% of respondents in their 60s and 70s — those with the harshest attitudes toward China — answered that they felt “close, friendly or familiar” with China. On the other end of the spectrum, over 40% of respondents aged 18 to 29 gave the same response. This indicates that the younger generations are more likely to have better perceptions of China.

According to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center in June 2022, Japan is among the countries with the largest generation gap in terms of people’s perceptions of China, whereby the younger generation in Japan has a more favorable impression of the country.
I believe Chinese can forgive Japan if the Japanese Red Guards (日本赤军)took over, abolished the monarchy, and swore allegiance to China.
