Nobody knows who told the 2 employees to do that or if it was just them being white worshippers.

It is not white worship. It is a trade show.

In a trade show, there are some freebies, but there is not enough freebies for everybody sometimes.

The booth has to practice some judgement. You do not give free stuff to a nobody.

So who is to blame for this fiasco?

I would blame BMW and whoever had that idea of giving out free ice cream.

I mean, it is a car show. Those car shows tend to draw out everybody including a lot of low life.

They thought no low life would show up to a car show and cause trouble?

It's kind of funny that way.

Who knew Chinese so woke over free food.

:D

I was blown away by BMW's textbook disaster PR.

The general meaning is: ice cream is distributed through the App to receive coupons, and then some of the special supply versions are reserved for their foreign colleagues, and those foreigners who eat ice cream are their foreign colleagues.

However, they were unable to produce evidence of App distribution.

A more dramatic scenario emerged. At 2:45 Chinese time, an "enthusiastic" netizen on Zhihu, a well-known Chinese question-and-answer forum, offered suggestions to BMW. The translation of the suggestions is as follows:

Let me tell you how to whitewash yourself, you can say that those foreigners are all BMW employees. The daily limit of ice cream for the event has been distributed, and foreigners can get it because the ice cream is a benefit for employees.

Then BMW gave the above reply at 10:00 Chinese time, which is 7 hours and 15 minutes after the netizen gave the suggestion.

I can't imagine what they went through for 7 hours and 15 minutes!

Absolutely large car accident scene!

Originally, this matter could have been solved by spending a thousand dollars on three days of ice cream and a symbolic car purchase coupon hidden in the ice cream package. Of course, a sincere apology with zero cost attached. Oh my God.

If the previous operation was only due to a mistake in hiring personnel, the performance of BMW today is stupid at the level of a multinational company.

Hard truth here, this ice cream discrimination is nothing compare to the mother of all humiliation how the Chinese were treated by the Japanese during the Japs occupations and yet Chinese flocks to Japan for holidays like no tomorrow, admires Japanese brands ( cars, anime, electronics and etc) even until today. Chinese people are partly to blame on how they were perceived. In this ice cream episode the middle management and the girls who served the ice cream ( who are probably Chinese) should have said F*CK NO to BMW top management if that was the discriminatory policy passed down by the German Top management. I am quiet sure from now, a few months from now if BMW facing bankruptcy due to this episode and were to offer a 50% sale on their car, many Chinese will forget about this incident and flock to their showrooms.
I’m sure the CEO was dictating the ice cream policy

It took longer than expected but it
looks like Israel has finally caved into US demands.
Ukraine seem desperate to put trust on it. Israel will extract things from many countries for exchange of slightest help.

“I stand before you today and ask for your forgiveness for the crimes committed here by Germans,” said Steinmeier, who was the first German head of state to participate in the annual ceremony, which dates back to 1948.
Germany has taken to heart the motto “never again” and has applied the imperative to the Ukrainian war. “Never again: that means that there must be no brutal war of aggression in Europe like that waged by Russia against Ukraine,” Steinmeier said.

Yup you hit the nail, Unfortunately there is no easily accessible unified quality grading system for both domestic and foreign brand products in China, there is a perception of foreign brands being better quality due to historic reasons and cultural inertia, Having such a system coupled with an app and QR sticker tags would allow Chinese customers to compare similar quality products and get exposure to domestic alternative with same level of grade, Of course the criteria and QC should be impartial and be overseen by experts in their respective industry but it would end a lot of hot air and mystique around foreign brands, China could learn a lot about this from Japanese their Wagyu beef is famous as it has an excellent grading system and it's on the package for you to see

Super tiring to follow the amount of nonsense from US politicians nowadays, esp on this "war-game" thingy and also the latest Yellen statement portraying US as the good guy etc etc.

Hats off to the Chinese government for their extreme patience, I think no other nations could have quietly tolerate such acts for long.
Don't be. The US government is now an unhinged circus with a global audience.

Remember that even people like him can become a federal-level politician in the US:

Perhaps there are people in that circus who believed that Taiwan could really flip over and capsize on its west side once PLA troops landed there - the island's weight distribution became too imbalanced. That's why they want the US military to defend Taiwan.

Frankly I hope more of them believe this along with Taiwan being too low below the horizon that rockets from the Mainland will never reach it.

This is an obvious act of signaling to the United States. But it cannot be understood as just a potential imaginary enemy attack by France against the United States. After all, France has many overseas territories.

According to the Guanqi team, they believe post Macron's visit China and France is now actively discussing PLAN basing in one of their pacific overseas territories. They also said we should expect France to do something to appease the US on the surface and we should ignore it because they've already flew it by China.

Sure enough shortly after Macron went back a French frigate transited Taiwan Strait, evidentially France had China's permission as the ship kept to China's side of the strait and both countries kept the incident very low profile.

If you could only pick one, where in the above map's read circles would you put the PLAN base?
