That's not false, but also not fair. All (at least the vast majority) capitalistic companies see everyone as human wallets. If you want to be respected you need to impose financial/reputational costs to companies which disrespect you.

The blacks, LGBT and other minorities have achieved this in the US.

For (foreign + domestic) companies in China, they will soon learn the same thing. White worshipping is quickly becoming a thing of the past, and there is actually a direct reversal of it, so companies will eventually start becoming more careful. This BMW mess will be studied by other companies and they will adopt measures to prevent a similar scenario happening to them

China today isn't China from 20 years ago. There are plenty of domestic brands that offer competitive products. The only safe way forward, it seems, is for foreign brands to do background checks on their employees to make sure that no Chinese liberal is hired. A quick and dirty way would be checking the social credit of all applicants.

One of the most important things to remember about Malaysian Chinese is that they are the only large group of Chinese who have no country. By that I mean that the Malaysian government generally pretends that they don't exist. Their government reserves almost all the positions in government, civil service and state universities for so-called "indigenous" people, and frequently use so-called "indigenous-islamic" culture as the only represented form of national heritage. so Malaysian Chinese have to find their own education and enterprise privately, and protect their heritage themselves. Personally I find that they are more well-adjusted than Mainland or Singapore Chinese. It might be because there is no hypercompetitive one-chance-only system to stress them.

Also, white worshipping is also common among Malaysian Chinese, but it only takes the Taiwan Boba liberal flavour over there. In Singapore there is the "Wannabe Westerner" type among the upper-middle class, but most of the white worshippers are actually still of the Boba type. The tricky part about Boba liberals is that they may speak primarily in Mandarin/dialect, watch only Mandarin TV and listen only to Mandopop etc but may very well be more anti-China than people who appear more Westernized like Christians.

While I despise White worshippers, too much of the cancel culture could lead to Chinese living in a bubble and preoccupied with success within China and blind to realities outside of it. It’s less of an issue when China was poor and weak but the stronger and wealthier it gets, it may become a bigger issue. It’s what happened to the US and what happened during the Ming Dynasty.
