I long claimed governance in the West is mostly about serving ideologies in the 21st century. I don't know what would make it more obvious than getting rid of multiple nuclear power plants during times of energy insecurity. Coal powered plants are being worked to their limits, gas supply is uncertain for a few years to come, and there is not enough solar and wind (another result of energy zealotry BTW). You'd guess extant nuclear power plants would be treasured as national assets in such an environment. But no, an unscientific political campaign point made years ago and appeasing energy zealots takes precedence.

When the United States wanted to wipe out the first nations in America they went after the Bison, their food source.

Just something to think about.
Sure. If they cut down the rice on their end, don’t expect anyone else to fill the gap. I swear all of these environmental freaks need to be sent to a gulag or something. It’s one thing to worry about the environment but it is another to try and wipe outs its own population by destroying their own lands and food supply. Thank goodness China isn’t stupid enough to do that but also thank good news that the USA is. Not even Australia is that stupid and they have been pretty stupid already. And easy way to improve green house has is simply sacrifice the USA and Europe at the same time to cut down emissions on a grand scale and hopefully let China fix the problems. I mean they managed to make desert greening work in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia so we have proof China can do it but the west as a collective has Greta Thunberg who is an obvious US stooge that only says ‘how dare you’ and has accomplished nothing. Maybe they might accomplish more by simply not existing

Nothing to do with strategic reasons? Dependence on russian uranium for nuclear power plants?
Germany, however, also gets most of its uranium fuel from Russia, which supplies more than a third of the global demand for enriched uranium. Germany's three remaining nuclear reactors run mainly on uranium from Russia and Kazakhstan.

All Kishida will do is pass along Blinken's messages. Give Biden's gofer the same treatment as Biden.

Germany does not need to buy uranium fuel from Russia. Orano and Urenco also refine uranium. You would think they could get enough for three power plants.

As for the uranium ore itself, i.e. yellow cake, there are plenty of sources for it. You do not have to get it from the lowest cost bidder. Most of cost in operating a nuclear power plant isn't buying the fuel to begin with.

Germany nuclear plant closing is that usual creating German supremacy in Europe to force others into industries where it think it can succeed in creating dependencies for better control of West. Elon may not understand it or not want to reveal things. It is Germany who are behind this whole climate action which impact oil and gas largest in terms of revenue in North America. Germany didnot help Westinghouse to impose it on Europe. why should there be French nuclear reactor? or for that matter Airbus. where are German battery makers to built same number of plants as Korea/Japanese are building in North America? with Germany working on cross-purpose US simply cannot compete. This common European house is using American power for German interests. Germany always use some one else. The only way to deal with Germany is Russia supported Middle East controlling Europe which will be opposite of German supported Ottomans controlling Middle East.

“We failed to build a common European house,” Steinmeier said. “I did not believe Vladimir Putin would embrace his country’s complete economic, political and moral ruin for the sake of his imperial madness,” he added.

Wait, isn't this censorship. As Americans lost confidence, they would outdo China in censorship, control and all aspects of intrusion of human rights. Human rights, liberty, democracy are their talking points now but wait until they make a mockery all of these when they are no longer in absolute control and domination. Those liberals in China would need to find a new way to bow to the West.

India continues to underperform diplomatically.
All members of the group have criticized Moscow's invasion of Ukraine, apart from China and Russia, a deep gulf highlighted in the previous finance chiefs' meeting in February.
India continues to be a good doggy.

Indonesia to decide on attending G20 in Kashmir, waiting for orders: Envoy

On Tuesday, Pakistan condemned India’s decision to hold Group of 20 meetings in Kashmir next month, calling the move “irresponsible”.

India currently holds the rotating year-long presidency of the G20 and is set to host a leaders’ summit in New Delhi in early September.

According to Reuters, Pakistan accused India of acting in “disregard of the UN Security Council resolutions and in violation of the principles of the UN Charter and international law.”

“Pakistan vehemently condemns these moves,” it said.
China should also skip the G20 meeting in Kashmir.
