Blinken asked again for a trip to Beijing and once again was told no.

I wonder if they realize letting this news out makes them look weak?

I sincerely believe it is all fake news.

The Americans have no intention of seeking meetings with the Chinese.

They just say they do, and blame the other side for not wanting to talk.

IMHO China should have kept strategic ambiguity for its own sake, considering that the outcome of the conflict in Ukraine has important consequences for China. Now NATO believes that Russia is fighting on its own, which will very likely encourage US brinkmanship and may lead to a disaster in Ukraine.
Both sides gain from trying to make the other side overextend. Nato "promised" Russia they would not send troops directly yet what do you think happens if Russia were to rush their whole army in and overextend? Similarly, the situation will improve even more for China should Nato get stuck in a kinetic war with Russia inside Ukraine.

Policies can be easily changed, especially when they're ambiguous to begin with. China's policy since the start of the conflict is to not sell it's own weapons to either party, but that can just be changed such as NATO's policy of not sending fighters and tanks. Also China's policy says nothing about volunteers or donated equipment.

Beijing would not give up the opportunity to bleed Washington in Ukraine.

When I Googled I couldn’t find any recent news articles on this. Only one I found was this, which is disingenuous since Chinese citizens are barred from purchasing land, not just Chinese government.

This type of policy is really good. It basically backstabs the Chinese who ran to America for "freedom" and encourages those sitting on the fence to move back to China. Also discourages migration of smart and rich people.

LMAO. Deal with it.

Mark Swidan was caught selling ~64 kilograms of crystal meth and ~366 grams of other kinds of drugs in China. China's death penalty starts at a mere 50 grams of drug trade.

Instead of bemoaning and complaining, they should feel thankful that China didn't send him straight to the firing range right after his initial sentencing.

Why do some of these people (especially those from the West, sorry to be direct) believe that they still have some kind of extraterritoriality rights in the "uncivilized" rest of the world like in the 1900s? This isn't just regarding China - countries with strict drug enforcement and heavy punishment against offenders like Singapore and Indonesia too often suffers from the same criticism from the West whenever they pass down capital punishment against Westerners caught bringing and selling drugs on their soil.

Just shut up and respect the local laws and rules. If you don't want to, just leave ffs.
America is definitely losing it. They're now defending drug traffickers and pedos and their foreign policy is a joke.

China definitely looks like the more respectable power to most of the world except brainwashed westerners nowadays.

That's him...

Does this look like the type of person you want access to your top secret documents???
I would trust him more than the Chinese guy my uni classmate told me about who routinely espouses the glorious achievements of the Chinese Communist Party with Top Secret clearance… did I mention they are instructors at NATO Flight Training Centre?

I mean, at least this guy is white!

It is not about the value of concession but how she asked it. She threatened on a lot of things that should earn her the VDL treatment but not only did that not happen she earned a official promise. Even though China made it clear weapon deal between two sovriegn nation is none of their god damn business.

Just what did she do that earned so much respect both in level of reception and diplomatic gurantee? I wish there are something we dont know that happened. If we took everything at surface level it would be a disaster.

What are you talking about? How is it a "concession" to reaffirm your stance?

China doesn't want to sell weapons to Russia, and Russia doesn't want to buy weapons from China. The whole story is a fabrication by the US.

China is currently engaged in a grand strategy of diplomatically isolating the US. This requires China to position itself as a better alternative to US hegemony. Being seen as profiting from the Russia-Ukraine war would be very detrimental to that goal, therefore China needed to make it crystal clear that it would not be selling weapons to Russia.

Baerbock is just a irrelevant trash talking clown. You don't let insignificant people like her influence your game plan!

Lmao at the security detail dragging him across the ground and then falling over. Japanese security detail fumbles and falls over a lot, I remember seeing them trip and fall during Abe assassination as well. Absolute buffoons xD
Good observation, Japanese security detail with Abe was chaotic as well two of them were running away from the shooter while one guy in the background was busy helping a lady get up, Then Abe's wife's car got hit on the back by escort, Either they're incompetent or are getting treated by their superiors really bad and taking it out on their VIPs

What a dumb statement. At least he should have qualified this by saying "as long as the conflict in Ukraine remains a regional conflict between two parties". NATO can now safely roll into Ukraine in June under the cover of massive air defense exercises.
You know China doesn't have to do anything we promise to the liars of the West, right? There is no honor dealing with them. We told them the SCS islands will never be militarize and the second 2 people could get on them, we built naval bases.
LMAO. Deal with it.

I would... cut one of his nuts off without anesthesia and hand it to him in a necklace bottle to remind him of the punishment for selling drugs in China, then sent him home to the US with a nice big dufflebag full of fentanyl because America is where he should be selling drugs.

It is strange that the Japanese, that was once what one would call, at least somewhat capable are now people that really did lose their balls. What happened to the likes to the shinsengumi and all that stuff, I wonder, at this point, Japan wouldn’t last a day if this is how poor their competence is right now. The USA couldn’t have chosen a worse pawn to use in the region then these idiots. I mean seriously, the USA literally got what they wanted, a bunch of disposable mooks and cannot operate without the USA directing them. i guess the Japanese really wants a repeat of WW2, only this time they will be made to suffer this time
