Doesn't look like China is happy with the Governor General of Europe von der Leyen's recent speech. Macron's plans seem dead on arrival, the only thing I'm expecting is some annoucement about France joining the BRI.

Von der Leyen is basically shitting all over China just before visiting it. Talk about manners.

In people to people relations, she would had been banned from visiting China a long time ago. Pretty sure Biden is more tame when talking about China than her

Well if you've noticed, there's a lot of these "best lists" going on lately on internet news platforms. I saw one about "Countries with the best engineers in the world". China wasn't on the list of I think around 20 countries. All of them were Western mostly European. Same goes with this best cities in the world for public transportation. Seems like an organized pro-West propaganda campaign.

Sounds like Soviet/North Korea style propaganda.

Either a 4D chess move to make the meeting seem dead on arrival to the USG, a pre requisite from her handlers for the meeting to go ahead at all or she is plain dumb and doing is this on purpose to ensure Macron goes home empty-handed. I am leaning towards the latter.

Sounds to me the firms that do the construction, planning, consulting, etc. are making a ton of money here.

TTC does a lot of stuff in house. In fact, most of their workforce is unionized under ATU. Almost everything they do requires unionized workers, even contract construction.
