Toronto's TTC ranked higher than anything on China's tier one cities is one of the biggest joke of them all. TTC's ride the rocket slogan is more like ride the snail train service: always late, never on time.
LOL, don't even get me started on the TTC!
Now, to be fair, in North American context, TTC is great. The subway is actually pretty frequent (it's a subway, duh) and fairly reliable. The bus network is actually extensive, and also frequent and decently reliable, making living in suburbs without a car actually somewhat tolerable (and millions of working-class Torontonians who cannot afford a car actually do rely on TTC).
Torontonians do complain a lot, and rightfully so. But compared to being at the whims of YRT and DRT and friends (i.e. transit agencies of some of the outer suburban municipalities, not under the juristiction of City of Toronto), or having to sit in some random GO train station for THREE HOURS because GO transit sh*t the bed, and ended up having to be shuttle-bused back to my home, TTC really isn't that bad. It's got a bad rap precisely because many people actually uses it.
Of course, compared to major transit system of any major East Asian cities, none of them are any good. No contest. Whomever made that list must have some really good weed. I bet they ordered it from some black-market mail-order place instead of government store
