this is why China is betting on Vietnam now, and the bet is paying off. Thailand is too easily destabilized by foreign forces, and they've never developed despite literally 50+ years of favorable policy.
Have you looked at the personnel numbers of the Polish military? Their force will be a hollow force for years even after the equipment arrives. Militaries can not multiply their arsenal of heavy weapons several times this fast and exploit the new equipment fully. It is quite funny how "experts" on Quora, Twitter and Reddit talk about how China can not train 5000 people for its new carrier but completely gloss over the fact that Poland will literally have to enlarge its entire military by a substantial margin. Just the requirement for new tank crews will require a ~5% increase in the number of ground force personnel. With extra people needed for administration, basing, and maintenance this number can easily go above 20%. And this is just tanks.
What do I think about the rumors that Poland will join the fight? I think they are just rumors. Russia inflates them for obvious reasons and Poland being run by a populist right-wing government doesn't help.
