Australia technically very advanced. They have EA-18G, F-35, F-18EF. KC-30A MRT, P-8, E-7, HALE Drone.
All these are top tier assets only USAF/USN combined can replicate it even they will not have E-7.
It's a smaller version of what US has, which makes sense because it pretty much is an extension of US, like how Ukraine or Poland were extensions of Soviet hardware.
Numbers are important here, how much more do US forces in Australia add to the overall US military?
Roughly speaking, on a platform vs platform basis, America is a peer power. Yet there is also a tyranny of distance as well as the difficulty of being on the attack working against them.
Ummm, advanced compared to Indonesia maybe but in comparison to China and Russia, you have to be kidding me and Australia doesn’t have the capability of rebuilding any of those items nor can that reload on missiles or shells in the event of an actual fight. It’s either USA protects the nation or Australia folds. There is no alternative and most people in the nation don’t have the spirit to fight anyways
US will fully step in, take control of command, as well as replenish them.
To speculate in the will of people to fight is not a good approach. Leave this mistake for the enemy to make.
One must assume all the soldiers that can reasonably be outfitted from Australia will fight. The true question is, is their cumulative power enough to succeed in an offensive against all of China united in defending the homeland? Almost certainly not. And then, will their power be enough to hold against the counteroffensive?
