Russia runs a conscription system which means mercenaries are relatively more "volunteer" than their regular army.

The problem in comparing the PLA with Russia other than just that is that Russia is unable to fight an modern informationized war. In an informationized war, the valor of individual units is inconsequential compared to the ability to operate complex systems. Mercenaries do not have the ability to operate complex systems required in informationized war. That's why as nations have gotten more technologically advanced, mercenary usage has dropped dramatically amongst all the nations of the world. Mercenaries ultimately only fulfill the role of light infantry and all light infantry does in near-peer war is die.

I disagree about infantry being useless. A lot of future combat will be in mega-cities like Tokyo or Taipei which will require you to deploy troops with near suicidal disregard for their own lives in storming operations or just extreme amounts of aggression.

Drones won't be able to pick up all the slack any time soon due to jammers and the immaturity of robotics.

As if that’s going smoothly, do you actually know the consequences after the war by using criminals and etc? Wagner is going to do much more damage to Russia than all western sanctions combined

There will always be compromise in any action. When you prioritize inflation reduction, you have to hike interest rate at the expense of economic growth. War is the same thing,no victory without sacrifice

Wagner Group is primarily a private military company (PMC) group, but with veterans of the Donbass and Syrian wars filling up its ranks. Their close connection to Kremlin is what makes them actively present in the war in Ukraine today.

Speaking of which, China also has its own PMCs that provide security and protection services to Chinese businesses and citizens in regions like the Middle East and Africa, mainly with veterans and retired military personnel from the PLA to fill up its ranks. Technically speaking, at least some of the Chinese PMCs can be considered as unofficial/hidden branches from the PLA.

Though I have not heard of any Chinese PMCs that are directly participating in civil conflicts in those aforementioned regions (in contrast with the American and Russian PMCs), but I could be wrong.

However, should the time comes, China should call upon their own PMCs to contribute for the war effort. Meaning that these Chinese PMCs should swore absolute loyalty to China, the CPC and the Chinese government as the utmost priority.

Chinese military personnel lacks combat experience, trainning can never replace experience gained from real combat. China should send some people to conflict zones to gain real experiences

There's only 1 war in the last decade(s) which even borders on providing similar experience to an actual inter-superpower war. China almost certainly has attaches there already, but its ill advised to directly send troops, due to political reasons.

Looking back in history, when it came to prepare countries for real war in the modern era, the most important factor above all was the doctrine development of the nation and degree of professionalism/training among the armed forces. If China has a lead in these two factors, they will also have a lead when it comes to actual showdown.

Looking back in history, battle-hardened veterans are always a great asset of the military.
