One of the most interesting parts of the conflict: The Chinese captured a Soviet T-62 (numbered 545), back then a secret state-of-the-art tank, in its combat debut. Today this would probably be the equivalent of a third world nation shooting down and capturing a superpower’s 6th gen fighter in its first sortie.

The new display for this tank is pretty cool:

Decades ago when I visited Beijing the tank was displayed outside, although undercover. I've seen some joking refer to it as "中苏友谊见证车" or "tank of Sino-Soviet friendship".
