I'd always wondered what those red labels –– often seen on the carrying handles of QBZ-95s –– are for. They turn out to be simple number labels.

Reminds me of a aimpoint comM4 though there are some differences.

I remember a couple of years ago when another member said it was to help identify what type of rifle it was for. Something like a training rifle would have its own color. I remember there was a green sticker too.

Anyone know what's the situation with the Chinese 5.8mm pistol/PDW cartridge and weapons?

I've noticed most of the recent videos and images of new submachine guns and pistols are chambered in 9mm.

Was the 5.8 too niche or something like 5.7 and 4.6 to really replace 7.62 Tokerav or 9mm as a standard service pistol cartridge?
