I'll say english is a bit more forgiving than Mandarin is, once you know all 26 characters in english, spelling can simply be generlised via pronuuociation barring a few weird cases, if you know the length of the word and begining and end of each word, you can work out it's meaning even if it is missqelt, you can see a few deliberately misspellings in what I've typed and it's still perfectly legible.

Chinese writing on the other hand is heavily dependent on memorising characters, with something like 3000 seperate characters for basic every day use. Granted Chinese characters are also similar to english in that each character is based on a combination of smaller base set of characters, but it is not as easily combined as English is.

Nothing insurmountable, of course. Seeing how easily Chinese people learn english it's not like the inverse can't be true. Just need to start young.
You don't need to memorize 3000 characters, you only need to memorize 100 radicals and 200 special characters because 90% of Chinese characters are phonosemantic (形声字). That is, they contain the pronunciation within them.

Don't know how to write "arachnid" (蜘蛛)? Easily described as 虫 radical to designate as a bug, plus 知 for pronunciation, 虫 radical for bug, plus 朱 for pronunciation.

The real advantage of Chinese and to a degree, Japanese, is that once you know the characters you no longer need to memorize any new vocabulary. Without it being explained to someone there is almost no way anyone can know what "diabetes" or "pediatric" means, they just have to memorize it. But 糖尿病 and 小儿科 are understandable to a 2nd grader. The toughest terms in English are described using very simple language which itself derives from radicals.

American students spent literal years building up their vocabulary even up to university, and vocabulary is tested extensively in SAT, GRE, etc. Meanwhile Chinese students are pretty much done with learning new vocabulary in middle school, and move on to more and more complex reading comprehension, learning how to write professionally, etc.

English is also not actually phonetic. Easy example: c in cat, c in celebrity, s in serial. No way to understand this except by memorizing.

Extreme example: Fish? No, ghit. Gh as in cough, I as in it, but t as in information. Why can't I write it that way despite precedent for all those sounds being spelled in that way? Don't know, memorize it.

Chinese media's softpower acknowledged by ma yi long ,now only hacker can search it.
You already posted this. Why are you posting again on a separate thread? Trolling hard I see?

Twitter is a Western platform. They've blocked so many Chinese and Russians users. We don't care if they banned those news outlets. Or course we can't compete with "super power" India's presence on Twitter, which they can just as easily ban of India so much as looks at the US or west wrong lol.

I did some other searches well you can't find CGTN news channel on twitter either but Xinhua is easily showing and all western news channel twitter account are easily showing in searches too.
Ex. BBC, CNN etc.
Looks like they are hiding those news channel who is seen by Western audience such as global times and CGTN and nobody knows much about Xinhua news channel outside of china.
This is another L to Chinese soft Power by ma yilong .
Man, shut up. How's that an L to China's soft power when it's the platform controlled by a nationalized American? Do you even read and analyze what you post dude?

Do you even think with your arrogant self that Indian and Indian media anything wouldn't suffer the same fate if India goes against the might of the west lead by America?

No amount of my friend, my friend, can change the dynamics of power that emanates from Hard power, financial power, cultural = soft power.

Please enlighten me when and how Indian soft power is being waged effectively around the world. I am very interested to learn and know about Indian soft power vs China's.

As I see it, it all comes with hard power. Most US shit is tacky and tasteless af. If I look at old soviet productions, a lot of it was plain weird.

China has the economic, industrial and military might of a superpower. But it hasn't proven itself with hard power yet.

There are many ways China can officially prove itself and they all involve collapsing American regime authority in one way or another. For example, they can lure US into an ill advised invasion and then annihilate that force. Or ensure that one of their allies wins a resounding regional conflict where US invested a shit ton of stuff. Or inflame tensions within Washington until an American gorby takes the presidency. And so on.

Either way, power fundamentally grows out of the barrel of a gun.

What they need is a big show that tells the world, we're in charge now.

Once China made its grand debut to the superpower stage, then people would quickly start to lick up all the media, especially since the west won't be able to control their home media anywhere near as tight.

The bottleneck on Chinese media influence is the semiconductor industry.

Look at the biggest social media platforms in the world: what do they depend on?

iOS and Android. Doesn't matter how big you are, if Apple or Google decides to drop you, you're screwed.

What then does iOS and Android depend on?

Hardware. People need to buy your phones in order for your OS to have clout.

What do phones depend on? Chips.

Get it now? Stop harping on content already.
