The irony is that US gas export capacity is locked to China, it has no extra capacity to help Europe.

SINGAPORE, Oct 20 (Reuters) - China has agreed three huge liquefied natural gas (LNG) deals with U.S. exporter Venture Global LNG as the world's second-biggest economy looks to secure long-term supplies amid soaring gas prices and domestic power shortages.

According to documents posted on the U.S. department of energy website, the agreements with China's state oil giant Sinopec include two 20-year deals for a combined 4 million tonnes of LNG per year.

At the time, US was so eager to balance the trade so US locked its gas export to China no less than Russia (also some 20 years contract).

This explains that it is almost impossible for Europe to simply turn to US for replacement. China is the only one having the big deals that can release some of them. A guaranteed mid-man profit. :D

A joke,
Russia told China in 2021 "I will invade Ukraine soon, I am afraid Europe may do something stupid".
China: "ok let me take away gas from them."
China to US: "Now I am ready to work on balance of trade with you."
US: "I win!"
...
Four months later
Europe: "WTF!!!"
US: "oh, crap, sorry mate"

Goodness I hope so...or what the bloody bleep 5d chess Russian strategy that we're not seeing or understanding with your approach in Ukraine?
I think it's pretty simple, they drag it out to hurt EU more and also soften up Kiev's armies. When America invaded Iraq, they spent a lot of time stalling and terror bombing civilians to make people flee before moving in with a huge invasion force. Russia's war is meant to have the same effect. Create Ukrainian refugees and ruin Kiev's economy.

Then Russia will declare war and swoop in with 600k+ troops to run over the weakened AFU. If Russia went 600k vs 600k at the start, it'd be quite risky and there would be no backup plan if Russia got stalled. Instead, they'll send the entire ground army after Ukraine army is reduced to less than 400k mostly nato trained conscripts rather than 200k USSR trained career troops + 400k conscripts + 10ks of national battalions.

China should learn and imitate this advanced form of governance.

Absolutely not! It’s precisely this kind of behaviour that killed Western innovation and competitiveness.

Why innovate and work hard to properly compete when you can just bribe, opst, sorry, make totally legitimate political ‘donations’ and then get the very same politicians you paid so much money to to change the laws that massively benefit your company for totally unrelated and legitimate reasons? If even that isn’t enough to kneecap your competitors sufficiently, you can always paid more political contributions and get them declared a security threat and banned outright.
