US did not just 'wreck their military' - it eviscerated Japanese cities and industry with air raids that killed a million civilians, left another million wounded and up to 10 million homeless. That's why Japs are in deference of the US. It seems the PLA must reenact Nanking in Nagoya to achieve the same effect.

How so? When the US firebombed what it called Japanese "ant heaps" and topped it off with two nuclear bombs, what was the result? A compliant and humble supplicant. How is that a negative consequence? What China should do to achieve the same outcome is crystal clear.

Come on, guys, the reason the Japanese are so reviled for their actions is not because they did what we would do if we were in their shoes; it's because they commited crimes we would never commit. Let them watch their master fall. Destroy their military and bomb their bases and cities if they dare fight us over Taiwan. That's enough to humble them and show them which line to fall into for sure. But reenact a civilian massacre? I politically hate the Japanese as much as anybody, but let's not get carried away. It takes a special kind of mentality to look a woman in the eyes as she huddles her child in her arms, shaking, crying, pleading, and then to kill her. I don't have that in me and I don't think you guys do either. Hate them all you want in paper and in writing as they're being assholes to you but that's not nearly the same as committing a real life murder on a defenseless civilian.
