That means there goes the Chrysler 300 too which shares the same platform and is merely a reskin of these. These will be the last of the classic full size American sedans. Previously we have seen the Ford Taurus and the Chevy Impala go down. Blame it to SUVs taking over the world. They are wiping out one sedan after another.

The next time you see a new Charger, Challenger or 300 being announced for a new generation, and chances are likely they may, its going to be some cross over EV.

Soccer moms have a great weight in deciding what to buy for a family car.

There are also demographic events happening that leads to buying SUVs over cars.

SUV has a higher ride height that makes entry and exit easier than a sedan. For older people, this makes a big difference. Guess who buy bigger sedans? Older people. The result is that full sized sedans, you're lets say Toyota Avalon, or Chrysler 300, they're all collapsing in sales. For the same amount of money, the senior is choosing an SUV instead. This affects the near luxury to luxury segments, including BMW, Lexus, Mercedes Benz, etc,. There is also the attraction of outdoors for the seniors; put a bike inside the vehicle, a chair, fishing equipment, and lets head to the beach.

At the same time, outdoor oriented millennials are going after subcompact SUVs for similar reasons.

SUV takeover is not globally universal. There are two countries in this world that are fairly resistant to the SUV take over and where sedans continue to thrive for similar reasons. One place is China and the other is Japan.

That's what they call a Compensation Truck

People that buy pickups for luxury purposes don't do the country's economics any good. But this is a free country thet can buy whatever they want. However they compete against people that have legitimate hard work purposes for a pickup. This buying competition against the backdrop of pickup shortage forces prices of pickups to go sky-high. Pickups are easily over $40k now brand new, with base around $30. Guess where this layer of the economy are going to pass these higher prices on.

Pickups are much cheaper in other countries, and are much more economical, with turbo diesels instead of gasoline V6s and V8s. And that's how it should be. Cheap logistics is a vital economic pillar for any country.

So nineties. People overcompensate these days by adventure and camping gear, and having plenty of LEDs.

Legit camper though. Look at all the dried mud in the underpinnings.

On the other hand, this hardly sees any real dirt.

Wallah. But Alfa Romeo making it doesn't sound encouraging. Hopefully they make it on the plant in Toronto.

Despite the soccer mom crossover looks, PHEV can make this drag as fast as a muscle car.

The last car ever named a Hornet was an AMC, which had long been integrated into Chrysler and now Stellantis.

A more optimistic possibility that new gen Dodge Challengers and Chargers might be coming out in 2024 that might offer ICE optiom on its base form, and a PHEV or EV option on its higher trim. The ICE will be powered by the new twin turbo Hurricane inline six that makes 400hp in one configuration and 500hp in another. The Hemi V8 is gone.
