China Micro's H1 non-net profit increased by 615% year-on-year, and the amount of new orders reached 3.057 billion yuan

China Micro Company released a performance report saying that in the first half of 2022, the company achieved operating income of 1.972 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 47.30%; net profit attributable to the parent was 468 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.94%; The net profit was 441 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 615.26%.

In terms of products, in the first half of 2022, China Micro's etching equipment revenue was 1.299 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of about 51.48%, and the gross profit margin reached 46.05%; of which CCP etching equipment revenue was 886 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.98%; ICP Etching equipment revenue was 413 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 414.08%; while MOCVD equipment revenue was 241 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of about 9.90%, and the gross profit margin reached 35.42%, an increase of about 4.65% over the same period last year.

In terms of new orders, Zhongwei pointed out that the amount of new orders in 2021 increased by 90.46% compared with 2020, reaching 4.129 billion yuan. In the first half of 2022, the company's newly signed orders increased by about 61.83% year-on-year to 3.057 billion yuan.

Regarding the growth in performance, Zhongwei said that in the first half of 2022, the company will adhere to the market and customer demand-oriented, actively respond to complex situations, continue to increase R&D investment and business development, and focus on core businesses such as plasma etching equipment and MOCVD equipment. Maintained high-speed and stable growth. Benefiting from the development of the equipment market and the competitive advantages of the company's products, the company has overcome the adverse impact of the new crown epidemic. With the close cooperation and support of customers and suppliers, the company's comprehensive competitive advantages have continued to be strengthened and improved. The company's product orders, shipments and sales Income exceeded expectations.

In the first half of the year, China Micro's CCP etching equipment products maintained a competitive advantage. Primo D-RIE®, Primo AD-RIE®, Primo SSC AD-RIE®, Primo HD-RIE® and other products were applied to the integration of domestic and foreign first-line customers in batches Circuit processing and manufacturing production lines, and continue to increase market share, the market share of some customers has entered the top three. In terms of advanced logic circuits, the company continued to upgrade product performance and successfully obtained repeated orders from customers of 5nm and below logic circuits. In terms of memory circuits, the company's etching equipment is widely used in 64-layer, 128-layer and higher-layer 3D NAND production lines. With the rapid increase in the production capacity of 3D NAND chip manufacturing plants, repeated orders for these products have grown rapidly and steadily.

At the same time, the company actively deploys and expands the application of etching equipment in dynamic memory. With the development and verification of more processes, it has obtained batch orders from customers. The company actively cooperates with mainstream customers to define the main functions and technical indicators of the next-generation CCP etcher, and is developing more advanced CCP etcher products.

At present, the shipments of ICP etching equipment products of China Microelectronics have maintained rapid growth. Primo nanova® ICP etching products have been verified for more than 100 ICP etching processes on the production lines of more than 15 customers. The process covers 3D NAND chips, DRAM chips and logic chips. The etching performance and mass production indicators of some processes have been Meet customer requirements and successfully put into mass production, and continue to expand to more etch applications for verification. As of the end of June 2022, Primo Nanonova® has successfully delivered more than 220 reaction chambers, and the number of applications that have been validated on the client side continues to increase. During the reporting period, the company continued to obtain bulk orders from international advanced 3D NAND customers.

In addition, China Micro has also actively deployed the third-generation semiconductor equipment market for power device applications, and developed MOCVD equipment for mass production of gallium nitride power devices, which has been delivered to leading domestic and foreign customers for production verification. In addition, the company has launched the development of epitaxial production equipment for silicon carbide power devices, which will further enrich the company's product line.

This is inseparable from the company's continuous R&D investment. In the first half of the year, China Micro's R&D investment reached 346 million yuan, accounting for 17.56% of its operating income, and its R&D investment increased by 20.88% year-on-year. As of June 30, 2022, the company has applied for 2,085 patents, including 1,799 invention patents; 1,189 patents have been authorized, including 1,011

Damn, if only it was true :/
I mean... it could be true. Nobody can confirm what will happen in 2025/2030 since it's 2022 now and we do have sources that hint at a Chinese EUV in 2025 so part 1 is very possible though the Anglosphere response to Chinese semiconductors would probably be to ban them rather than let TSMC/ASML go belly up and allow themselves to become dependent on China for chips. TSMC will be in far more trouble if a chain for high end chips is established in the US because then they become not only expendable but a hindrance to America being the main supplier of high end chips to the Anglosphere.

You sure about that?

Your own source only mentions 半导体 once, in the context of materials for use. But just because it uses semiconductor material doesn't mean it is part of the semiconductor industry. This shows you don't really understand the semiconductor industry.

As a simple example, we can look at silicon carbide.
