UK MPs planning to make a visit to Taiwan in December. If Pelosi visit is successful without any opposition then this will open the gates to push for independences

At the rate some genius geopolitical and PLA watching gurus are going off here, China, or PLA for that matter, might as well take a second job working as receptionist for Taiwan making appointments for these political luminaries.
You know, until the day China gets stronger, be patient.
Brightest of the red line, bad takes.

Despite much bitching from internet warriors, China is correct in letting this slide. Fact of the matter is that the US has a stronger hand to play (still) than China does. The gap is shrinking every year, but it's still not zero.

Only when China is self-sufficient in chips & has new pipelines from Russia is when a serious conflict over Taiwan can be entertained.

I wonder how PVA crossed over to Korea then. They should have waited till they got stronger.
Oh wait ...

Yes. China will respond, but it’s not going to be drastic as people here think. In fact be ready to be disappointed by the response. People here taking about killing Pelosi, bombing runways, lolll.

Carrier USS Ronald Reagan, Two F-35B Big Decks Operating Near Taiwan

Aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76) and big deck amphibious ships USS America (LHA-6) and USS Tripoli (LHA-7), with Marine F-35B Lighting II Joint Strike Fighters embarked, are operating in the vicinity of Taiwan

Tripoli has been embarked with up to 20 F-35Bs, while America routinely deploys with Marine F-35Bs. Marine officials told USNI News on Friday that its F-35Bs were not grounded as part of the ongoing ejection seat problems.

“Currently, Marine Corps F-35Bs are not grounded, and over 90 percent of the inspections on Marine Corps ejection seat cartridge actuating devices are now complete,” Marine Maj. Jay Hernandez told USNI News on Friday.

They are dead at that distance if war actually happens, although war is unlikely.
They still dont believe China will ever escalate to that level.

Yup all of Korea would belong to USA by now and China would still be waiting to get stronger.....

EUV machines didnt even exists 20 years ago, 30 years ago the Internet didnt exists much less 5G, and deep learning AI only took off after 2015....

So tell me since when did it become a self imposed handicap requirement that China is only allowed Armed Reunification of Tiawan once it has indigenous <5nm semiconductor fab process technology?

At this rate in 3 decades from now we will still be talking about how China must not act until it has solved nuclear fusion first....

Why do people predict war when Xi Jinping and Biden held a phone call just days ago? People probably going to forget about this in one week, and cling on another thing to be faux outraged about. Only when China's defence spending hits 3.0% should it start warmongering, otherwise, it's a joke at only 1.5% of GDP.
