I'm quite surprised they didn't add 'but at what cost', or some random narrative about how China's military is bankrupting its economy or nonsense

Interesting they still couldn't bring themselves to use "China", so they use "Xi Jinping" instead.

I'd say we are almost at the acceptance stage

I attend the voting last year to choose local part gov leader.
Emm, seems some western people mumble "chinnnyyya people has no authority to vote." I received the election message in my mailbox and phone, registered for vote in a website and I can vote. I even not a CCP member...
