looks pretty bland feature wise. nothing really impressive as although the uniform uses a pixilated pattern it does not make alterations to improve use with load barring vests or body Armour. the use of which is increasing dramatically in modern combat.

It's not "bland" at all but much more complex than the current pixelated camouflage. If you look closely, you'll find five colors as opposed to the four currently in use. I'm not sure if that's the "real" Type 07, but it does look good and more effective than currently seen Type 07.

Bags and other wearable items can be made with a similar camouflage, so there's no problem with weight bearings or anything like you said.

Has anyone seen sumdud? I haven't heard a response from him :p

I am not referring to the camo pattern i am commenting to the lay out! Body Armour and vests add heat and storage issues to combat uniforms. the pockets on the chest are covered and rendered unusable or unaccessible the material if not light weight becomes a sauna in heat the buttons and the collar chafe.

sure most of the utility is taken up by vests and such but also add more weight and that slows a soldier down

I don't see your argument, because every uniform can be bogged down by weight when armor and other things are added. Also, you can't say anything about the layout of the uniform, because you can't see any pockets on it.

Don't know if anybody mentioned this before, but the new forest digital camouflage seems to be simply a digitized Woodland camouflage pattern. The same thing goes with the Type 07 marine camouflage (which is a digitized version of the current marine pattern). The desert camouflage seems to be just a digitized woodland with different color patterns. Same goes for the Urban Type 07 camouflage. I think the urban pattern can also be used as Winter camouflage, but for the most part, the pictures only show soldiers and guards wearing the desert camouflage during winter, which is similar to the Tibetan Flecktarn. It seems the PLA has simply adopted a rather conventional camouflage style for different environments rather than go for something more radical like the American ACU. Furthermore, the PAP Type 05 camouflage seems to be a pixelated (not digitized) version of the Woodland, with a few changes in color choices.
