Why should China take part of a meeting dictate by the US? China could send food aid directly with bilateral cooperation.

here is the reason why China is not involved..

Blinken's ministerial-level meeting brings together a "broad, regionally diverse group of 30-35 countries," the State Department said.
So, again it’s small cliques.

America only helps the people from their side of the divides they create.

Washington state gas stations run out of fuel, prep (the price board) for $10 a gallon

Gas stations in Washington state are resetting their price boards to accommodate double digits in preparation for fuel prices potentially reaching $10 a gallon, according to a report.

The 76 Gas Station in Auburn, which lies about 30 miles south of Seattle, gas pumps were reprogrammed so that the display could indicate a price of at least $10 a gallon.

So the Gas Stations is preparing by adding another digit to the board. $10 per gallon will absolutely destroy any Democrat hopes for winning the election.

It looks like Erdogan's list of demands have leaked online:

  • NATO should classify not only the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) but also the Syrian Defense Forces (SDF) and the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) in the alliance’s list of threats.
  • The United States should then extradite Pennsylvania-based dissident cleric Fethullah Gülen to Turkey.
  • All NATO members, including Sweden and Finland, must cease any activity by the PKK, SDF, or FETO on their territories.
  • The United States and other NATO bodies must lift all sanctions related to Turkey’s purchase of the S-400, including sanctions upon the Turkish Defense Industry Directorate.
  • Turkey would not only receive the new F-16s and upgrade kits for its existing fleet, but Turkey will also be able to rejoin the F-35 program from which it was expelled after activating the Russian S-400s.
  • Lastly, the United States would cease preventing Turkey from exporting military products containing Western components.
As expected, they are virtually impossible to fulfil. Maybe the first one, but I doubt America would even cede that. The real question will be how much would it cost to overlook all of this, or how much pressure America will need to put on Turkey to get them to back down. This is standard Turkish bazar negotiation tactics. Start with an unreasonable number, then settle for a lower price. While the EU are happy to play the role of gullible western tourists, I doubt the US is.

Turkey is one of the most important NATO members because of it's geographical location, kicking them out isn't an option. You lose Turkey and you lose the straits and nuclear launch sites.

Please send them that idiot Kanter Freedom

I saw on the news this morning a Japanese official commenting on Biden's trip to Asia say that his visit and Ukraine shows how the US will be there to help in Asia. No, it shows how the US won't be sending in their troops to fight their wars for them as all of the US's Asian allies were expecting their white knights will come to rescue them. In the US they say it's about showing how the US can handle two crisis at once. What crisis in Asia is happening to show the US can handle two at once? It's spin. It goes to show how the US's "pivot" to Asia is a fantasy. You don't see US troops fighting in Ukraine and there's no war going on in Asia so the US isn't handling two wars at once. Lowering the bar and spinning it as showing the US's full commitment is a joke.

Huge news. And big respect to Xi for managing to pass this. I can't even imagine how big the internal pushback would be for this move. Congratulations

the directive prohibits spouses and children of ministerial-level officials from holding—directly or indirectly—any real estate abroad or shares in entities registered overseas, the people said.

Senior officials and members of their immediate families would also be barred from setting up accounts with overseas financial institutions unless they have legitimate reasons for doing so—such as study or work—the people said.
Leading cadres, especially senior cadres, must pay attention to family discipline and ethics,” Mr. Xi told the party’s top disciplinary agency in January. Officials must “lead by example in managing their spouses and children properly, being a dutiful person and doing things in a clean way,” he said.

When we are going to see J-10Cs or J-31s in Turkey?
Having a country like Turkey which have never bought non-American fighter aircraft buying Chinese fighters is something only the current US lawmakers can achieve.
Turkey is going to get the “Checkmate”, now slated to start production in 2027!
