Lol my bad, the man was based asf.

You are never going to hear those words out of any Singaporean politician today, if his son LHL said the same thing in 2022 he would be absolutely crucified despite it being an objective fact. Just a sad indication that this country is following the path of western countries in promoting wokeism, feelings over facts, cancel culture, with a healthy serving of self hate.

Here's to hoping China usurps US as the predominant Asian power. Singapore needs more Chinese influence, not less. Singaporean youth in particular need to be taught to admire their Chinese roots, culture and history as an ancient civilization. The way things are going the next generation of Singaporean leaders will turn this country into a proper western vassal, if it isn't already.
What has led to the current predicament as you described in Singapore though? I have always admired Singapore as a country who's policies were worth emulating. I remember that back in the day I was told that Janet Jackson's album velvet rope was banned in Singapore for raunchy lyrics, and then the caning of an American during President Clinton's term.

I am working in Singapore as some may know. Today, at 3.30pm, I saw an Indian migrant worker park his motorcycle on the wrong side of the road, right at a bus stop, and obstructing all the buses. Then he walked to the 7-Eleven next door. It's as if he was still living in New Delhi.

After I got off my bus at 4.30pm, a Malay dude suddenly kicked down a bunch of dustbins right in front of me. I thought he was going to attack me. Then he punched a wall a few times and started shouting at his handphone.

Scary stuff.

I am back in my office working on a Sunday, so please give me some encouragement.
Learn Sanda, Krav Maga, Lift, practice meditation, be kind to others, or you can carry one of Gen.Mattis maxims of "Be polite, be professional but have a plan to beat up everybody (that's deserving) you meet." The original quote was "Be polite, be professional and have a plan to kill everybody you meet."

The designation of English as the main language means Singapore, particularly its youth, is incredibly vulnerable to western influences, vices and propaganda. My observation is that the majority of Singaporean youth worship and idealize the west while shunning their Chinese roots, to the point where having shitty Chinese is glorified as a desirable personality trait. In other words, think of the edgy pimpled virgin milk tea alliance kids who run around shouting "Xinnie Pooh Bear", "Nothing happened in 1989" or "minus 9999 social credit" as if it's the most original and hilarious thing ever. Singapore has a lot of kids like that, who think it's 'cool', 'hip', 'woke' or simply correct to hate on China for the sake of hating on China. If you don't believe me, go on r/singapore and search for China threads to see for yourself. I think r/singapore is one of the most anti China subs alongside r/China (haven for anglo pedophiles). That's saying something.

I mean while the english influence thing is a bit concerning, the reddit stuff is whatever. Like its reddit, the less you think about it the better it will be for your mental health.

To be clear, the older generation is still based, particularly the ones who lived through Japanese occupation of Singapore and Sook Chin massacre. That's why you'll find favorable perception of China among Singaporeans in some polls. They're interviewing the elders. The issue is the elders are going to die out eventually and you'll be left with the anglo worshipping generation.

That's their plan. English language -> participation in the Western cybersphere -> get brainwashed from Western propaganda -> hate China

Quite simple actually.
