Hi is it not possible for China to fund some African countries with a batch of six or eight JF17
specific from Chinese side one on one deal that way JF17 will be known around on those countries
and probably by some other countries who can be able to buy themselves
I know Nigerian already using it but I’m talking about other African countries where China have monetary
stakes
just a thought it might work this way for jF17 export
thank you

no… all the other African countries would want the same, then it’s not a trade, but a charity

JF-17 should be export market only. I think they should be sold as cheaply as possible, at cost price to countries where necessary.

In many parts of the world much of a country's political independence comes from their military independence. Having Chinese platforms ties them into Chinese geopolitics and away from American/western politics.

Serbia and Argentina would be two ideal countries.

I think the concern is with the export market, like deals with Nigeria and Argentina. Those to countries, unlike Myanmar, are not under sanctions and care a lot about CAASTA.
If the sale of the JF-17 to Argentina materializes, the fighters will be powered by WS 13 engines in their most refined version.

Greetings from Argentina

but the Russians would not sell the engine directly to Argentina or Nigeria, but to China they buy very numerous lots and, I suppose, already with the permission to re-export to foreign customers of the JF-17, therefore there should be no problems, except cue then the US does not want to widen the diatribes with China in a trade war.

In the selection process, carried out by the Argentine Air Force (FAA), who offers the best offer in terms of equipment, technology, costs, financing and weapons, etc. It is the JF-17. However, there are strong pressure from the United States and the last word does not have the Argentine Air Force, but the political power.
Clearly, the fighter chosen by the FAA is the Thunder, no matter how surprising it may be to many of our countrymen.

I add, if the operation is not closed this year, everything will go down the toilet.

Greetings from Argentina.

I read that there is an Argentinian delegation in China looking at the production facility and discussing tech transfer with the possibility of assembling the plane in Argentina. Is there any truth to the rumor?

I would not be able to tell you exactly if the Argentine delegation has already been or is still in China. For now, the reason was to go fly a two-seater, in order to continue evaluating the plane. Regarding technology transfer and the possibility of producing the aircraft in Argentina, this is not the case. Everything is limited to doing all possible maintenance in Argentina, and in that sense receiving all the technology and knowledge to carry it out. It is not logical to expect to receive know-how and compensation for only 12 aircraft. It should be added that, for Argentina, it would be a very big technological leap, however the JF-17 is still a great unknown in material terms and useful life, because nothing is known about it. I add, the only experience we have in the region was the K-8 in Bolivia, and it was not good. Strictly speaking, the ideal would be for China to send a JF-17 to Argentina, accompanied by a technical delegation and for a good part of our Air Force to fly it, to clear up any doubts.

Greetings

Saludos
