Ukrainian sources reporting the demands from Russia:

It seems a more severe than previous demands requested by Russia and would address most reasons Russia started the war. It doesn't address the nuclear issue, or the presence of biolabs. Then there is the issue of cities like Kiev and Odessa which are historically Russian (according to them).

It looks like a no go from the Ukrainians for now, as they appear to be refusing any deal that results in a loss of territory (including Crimea).
I think that Russia bit off too much in recognizing the Republics. Now, it would be a major climbdown to back down from that...

I believe that Ukraine would agree to 1 and 2 (there was a law that had Russian as a co official language in a number of regions of Ukraine previously)...

With regards to 5, Zelensky is severely on the spot. There is so much evidence of significant penetration of Nazis in Ukrainian state institutions, even if they and others of the Far Right are presently electorally unpopular.

6. The Ukrainians won't accept this no matter what. It is ridiculous that they even insist on it. Peskov did not include them in the list on Monday...

Is this really a good thing?! All I can see is that this will add fuel to the resolve of the likes of Azov and Aidar, now that they are literally desperate.
I also don't think the majority of Russian population in Russia have very amiable view and acceptance for Sub-Saharan Africans (especially militants). Racism for people of color is quite prevalent across almost all Slavic countries.

Ukrainian sources reporting the demands from Russia:

1. Refusal to move to NATO. Neutral status of Ukraine.

2. Russian is the second state language. Repeal of all laws restricting it.

3. Recognition of Crimea by Ukraine as Russian.

4. Recognition by Ukraine of the independence of the DPR and LPR within the administrative boundaries of the regions (including the territories currently controlled by Ukraine).

5. "Denazification" . Prohibition of the activities of ultranationalist, Nazi and neo-Nazi parties and public organizations, the abolition of existing laws on the glorification of Nazis and neo-Nazis.

6. "Demilitarization of Ukraine". A complete rejection of offensive weapons, under which, if desired, any type of weapon can be raised.

Those are some weak ass demands. "Demilitarization of Ukraine" is literally unenforceable without permanent Russian troop movement. Literally a "paper treaty" neutrality. Do you know who else is "Demilitarized" without offensive weapons? Japanese Self-Defense Force!

Russia needs to annex some big ass territories east of dnieper to make all these sanctions worthwhile.
