Some people here seem to struggle with the fact that when Oryx reports 78% of destroyed tanks are Russian, that does not mean that 78% of all Russia's tanks have been destroyed, but that, of all tanks destroyed, 78% are Russian and 22% Ukrainian. Which adds up to 100% for the hard of thinking.

Anyway, whatever tanks the Russians do have left are going nowhere fast if their logisitics support keeps getting destroyed at this rate. Note the commandeered civilian vehicles:

Did you know that in the Afghanistan war, the Taliban had a 0% aircraft destruction rate?

tanks on the offensive are far more susceptible to destruction than tanks deployed in the defensive. So it is not much of a surprise the Russians lost more tanks than the Ikrainans,

However tanks lost of successful offensives are usually behind friendly lines and a substantial percentage can be recovered and repaired.

How many damages and destroyed russian tanks remain in front of russian lines to be photographed does seem to reflect failure of substantial amounts of russian offensives.

It appears that the northern front has stalled. However the eastern front is making good progress. The two separatist republics has controlled most of their demanded territory.
Aren’t they building up logistics and supply depots up north. Likely preparing a move against Kiev eventually.
