Yes, Indians need to stop sitting on the fence. Pakistan seems to have made their minds up.Yeah India seems to be really turning around on Russia. Although their logic is still beyond me:

Imo a good compromise for Russia would be incorporating the southern oblasts that voted for yanukovych into Russia, leaving a landlocked ukrainian state like belarus. But that will never happen under Zelensky so we'll have to wait to see what happens once it's completely taken overi agree there might need to be a bit of urgency on odessa. as the intensity picks up russian army will become more exhausted. at some point there will have to be an operational pause (that's kind of already happening in places). before the majority of the forces in ukraine pause for a quick break (also signals the end of the first phase) they must at least have all the main objectives encircled and some taken. so Kiev and Odessa should be encircled, Kharkov and Mariupol taken. that would allow Putin to claim significant victory and go to the table for negotations while the army rests and regroups.
negotiated terms will likely be surrender of major cities, if that fails, russia can commence its second phase of taking the city and perhaps even moving further west.
I would be surprised if these sanctions are EVER lifted. I think China and Russia (and maybe NK and Iran) may be religated to their own little world, in every sense of the word, while the rest of the world moves on.The sanction on Russia's central bank must be lifted. There is zero question about that. You will destroy the foundation of global finance system if you use indefinite central bank asset freeze as a purely punitive measure. The only question is whether to unfreeze the asset after a ceasefire deal or after a formal peace treaty. I think the first is better as a demonstration of good will. You can keep other sanctions, maybe. But central bank sanction has to go.
And what pray tell, has China done to be relegated this "little world"? You speak as if China has already invaded Taiwan, or are you just projecting your own unbridled glee at the thought of isolating China for daring to have an independent foreign policy?I would be surprised if these sanctions are EVER lifted. This is delusional thinking. I doubt meaningful sanctions will ever be applied on Russia. You've already applied them to Belarus, why not Russia?I would be surprised if these sanctions are EVER lifted. I think China and Russia (and maybe NK and Iran) may be religated to their own little world, in every sense of the word, while the rest of the world moves on.
De-dollarization's gonna be a bitch. This will play out like your trade war, but on a much greater scale.I would be surprised if these sanctions are EVER lifted. I think China and Russia (and maybe NK and Iran) may be religated to their own little world, in every sense of the word, while the rest of the world moves on.
